Being a biologist, I would say, it's extremely rare, like trying finding a mustard seed in the vast beach. It's may be there but there are many factors that affects life. One of them would be gravity and availability of light and particularly sunlight. Then we can also talk about availability of an atmosphere that actively blocks sunlight and many more.

Why do scientists always say that in order for their to be life there needs to be water? Why can’t there be a life form out there that survives off of liquid nitrogen or liquid helium or some other form of liquid? Science is so fascinating but like religion confines itself to a set principle of thinking that only certain things can mean life.
