The principle of causality tells us that everything has a cause. If the universe exists, it must have a cause, and it wouldn't make sense for the universe to be the only exception. But if the universe is created, then why was it created in the first place? Similarly, why did God create everything if He does not need us? We can’t know everything, but it’s logical to think that a higher power, with purpose, created the universe for a reason just as everything else in existence has a cause and purpose.

The inhabitants of a computer simulation would also come to this conclusion as well. They would only be able to measure time all the way back to when the simulation began, baring any retroactive alterations made by the programmer. There couldn't have been time in that reality to create it, but there was time in another to do so. Time is also relative and millions of years for a simulation could only take hours or days for its creator to run.

The creator is not subject to time or space, he can do whatever he wants. In our tiny little minds and logic there are things that we will never fully understand. That's like a germ trying to see what's on Pluto.

The nature of God is a higher power who exists beyond time and space. He’s not some psychotic tyrant with a long beard who will punish you for not submitting. The “God” of the religious books is completely man made.

The Law of Conservation of Mass states matter cannot be created or destroyed; it can only change form, meaning the total amount of matter in a closed system remains constant during any physical or chemical reaction. If you believe the was a “Big Bang” that created the universe, where did the matter come from that currently exists. There had to be a creator of matter, and my faith and belief tells me it was God. If you disagree, please explain to me where did matter come from to form the universe.
