the ONE QUESTION police can no longer ask (in California, anyway)

What's annoying and patronizing is when they say do you know why I pulled you over? and you say no, and they follow up with. You have no idea why I pulled you over?

Got pulled over once and actually had no idea why and told the officer “no I don’t is something wrong”. He seemed confused and and let me of with a warning for speeding and just told me to go slower

It doesn't matter if it's a law or not. Just say no, i don't know. Then there's a special trick. STFU and comply with lawful orders. Then, like they say in the movies, tell it to the judge, preferably via a lawyer.

There's a road where 3 cops sit. While an undercover drives up and down. They will run plates and then pull you over for "failure to maintain lane". It's happened 5 times to me. Once was speeding. Anyway, they go to write a warning. While they're writing it, a k9 is already there and ready to sniff the car. Got a dashcam, hoping one day if they ever do discover something like drugs, then perhaps fruits of the poisonous tree if I WAS properly maintaining lane? I'm assuming that invalidates the entire stop and what comes after. Does that count even if they're pulling me over (wrongfully) for a warning and not a ticket?

This is ridiculous. Every time I’ve been pulled over, I’ve told them I’m speeding and they always give me a warning for being honest.

I got pulled over by a cop for not using my blinker. I have out of state plates, he was all high and mighty until i said i was on my way to school.

I got pulled over the second week of January (in California). When the officer came up to my window he immediately told me why he pulled me over.

But you're 5th Amendment Right is always valid, anyone who admits to their possible crimes should've known their Constitutional Rights beforehand otherwise they don't have any Rights as far as the cop cares.. Know your Rights, exercise your Rights, or you'll lose your Rights..

It is annoying but in my opinion with good reason, many infamous serial killers wouldn’t have been caught with out this tactic
