Millie is the chillest bird. Most cockatiels I have met were shrieking balls of feathered rage.

The first pot is actually very good for a guppy as the way it is. Sure it's not "full" of plant to combat the fish waste, but look at the size of that big plant and look at how big the fish poop are (if u can). That massive plant root is basically an oversized filtration already.

Putting words in Millie's mouth instead of treats. Smh

I think the potted plant tank should have more room for the fish. I do think that they were trying for a thick sand bed, but if it was it was thick!
The pet I love that is out of water is my loud cat.😼

I think the first tank/pot was fine. They did good maintainence!

That pot is honestly OK. The deep sand bed/soil bed is really deep. Lot of good anaerobic conditions for denitrification

That first setup has potential if they had a deep water column with more plants like pothos around. Maybe add some water shamrocks and other rhizome plants 🪴

A lizard fish is a tropical sea fish that can move it's spine vertically was well as horizontally. It looks a bit like a lizard. When you catch one and hold on to it. It wind's it's tail in a circle instead of flapping back and forth. You catch them in the florida keys sometimes.

Poor pet smart employees get a bad wrap. The one I go to has pretty decent fish people. I have personally seen them tell people not to get certain fish and picked up on some clues that the person wasn’t going to properly care for the fish and talked them into reconsidering. Very reassuring.

I think that mini pond was acceptable because of the massive plant growing in the middle, enough filtration

We have a bristlenose pleco too, and she's like over 20 years old which is older than me, and I really really like this fish, she's cool

qotw: my rabbit, but when my husband and I moved in together the bun decided I was old news and is now glued to his hip at all times.

That pot tank seemed fine to me, but I wish the sand level was lower to give the fish more room.

As always, a lovely video to start my week with or without Millie!

QOTW: I honestly can't choose one! Love dogs (still miss my Corgi ❤), cats, horses/ponies, aquatic critters! Coolest and weirdest thing I've had that I loved were mice, super shy but so sweet and curious!

rainbowfish are native to australia and PNG, kinda like our version of tetras, lots of varieties of small fish that vary river to river slightly. and lizardfish are apparently also known as: Saddleback Loach, Gecko Loach, or Orchid Loach.

About a month ago I removed my long fin Betta from my community tank as he wasn’t doing well with the water flow in there. He didn’t look good and his fins were raggedy and short. Put him in a temporary 3 gallon hospital tank and treated him with Betta Fix. Every week he looked better and better and every week lots of fin growth. He is all better now and I went and got a 10 gallon tank for him and some of his snail buddies. Since he is now in a 10 gallon, I placed an order with Aquarium Co-Op for a few additional plants for him. So happy he is doing well. I’ve now added a King Koi Plakat Betta to my community tank and since he is bigger and has short fins, he isn’t bothered by the flow in the tank and is doing great.

I rarely disagree with you, but I believe the plant is more than sufficient for a couple guppies. Terrestrial plants have unlimited access to co2, if that plants grows well (and it looks damn healthy), it can easily handle the bioload and the substrate IS the filter. Plenty of room for bacteria to grow. Pretty OK setup in my eyes. If you compare it directly to your setup (with the floating plants and the pothos), your setup has by far less plantmass for nutrient absoption.

The name 'Dennerle' has emphasis on the first syllable and the last 'e' sounds like the other e's. Dennerle has sweet stuff. I'm using their aquasoil and a few other things. They have a whole range of aquarium stuff and they produce a lot of great plants as well.
