I bought my Fish Oil from Aldi. $4.99/bottle of 100 soft gels. Ingredients: Anchovy, Mackerel, Sardines, gelatin, glycerin, purified water, Vitamin E from mixed tocopherols. After 10 days of taking them it lowered my BP so much so that I no longer have to take my Beta-Blocker that I had been taking for 36 years. I’m 61 years old. I’ve been on Keto for 3 years now - maintenance for 1 year. I’ve lost 150lbs - from 321lbs to 170lbs. I have several autoimmune diseases: Hashimoto’s Disease, & Epstein-Barr virus. My inflammation is much better now. Has anyone else ever experienced a Blood Pressure drop from taking Fish Oil?

One year ago I dumped all fish oil pilld (plud seed or vegetable oils) and bought fish, used grass fed butter, and eat nuts and seeds. Avocado and Olive oils remained. 👌🏻

I'm at the age where every doc appt the question is asked, "are you taking fish oil?" so I know I should be, but the market is SO confusing! I have shopped for fish oil many times only to shut down from overwhelm. Thanks for your guidance on some things to look for when shopping. This is VERY helpful!

I like to get my fish oil from sardines or fresh trout. I live near world class trout fishing and I save up part of my catch to home can. I use olive oil, minced garlic, soy sauce and toss in a few jalapeno slices. Pressure can 100 minutes.

It would be greatly helpful if you could recommend a specific brand!

Krill oil is the only type that doesn’t upset my stomach. I store it in the refrigerator to keep it fresher. I was told that if you order oils on line to do so during the colder months so it’s not riding in a hot delivery truck for who knows how many hot hours.

Been taking Kori Krill oil for around 2 to 3 weeks now. Have never been this relaxed in my life. Great brand from what I can tell.

✖ Ethyl ester form - avoid (dt higher oxidization)
✔ *Triglyceride form omega 3s - YES*
✖ NOT with a vegatable oil.
✔ *Smaller fish* . Always from colder waters.
✔ Krill oil ✔ Cod liver oil in a triglyceride form.
Totex score.

Just eat sardines a few times a week. Then you get protein too and don’t have to worry about any of this. Don’t waste your money on supplements.

Thomas, at the end you said you hope this clears it up, there's so many factors you gave probably 15 to 20 factors that it's almost more confusing and frustrating than when I started the video. What would truly help is if during the video you would tell us from your research of all the 20 factors you gave us what are the two to three top brands you recommend for example? Life-extension makes a great one and there's some other ones too I think, but with you NOT giving us any suggestions it's too much to evaluate and that's just one vitamin.. We have so many others to take evaluate, please help us with telling us the top brands you recommend vs. 10 minutes of All scientific research that we don't have time to research for each brand!

Hey, due to recent videos on fat... Omega 6 vs 3, overeating fat between meals, I started considering using less separated fat, less cooking oils, while still getting fat from whole foods. So eat more avocados, olives, fatty fish and macadamia nut butter. Even eat sunflower seeds and sesame tahini, in spite of omega 6. No worries on the quality of the fat when it's still in natural form.

Could you give us a list of companies and products that you approve? Hopefully, in a variety of price ranges.

I wouldnt touch a commercial fish oil from the store.
I don't even buy a fish oil because I don't trust the quality. I get my omega 3s from salmon, sardines and seafoods. 🤓

I take Nordic Naturals Omega 3 fish oil - gel triglyceride form. Not cheap- but I trust the company.

While this information is useful it is still difficult to figure out all these variables. There should be specifics mentioned about which brands sell what they do and which brands the speaker recommends. The choices on the market are mind-blowing

After watching this video, I've done a ton of research into *ethyl ester vs. triglyceride form omega-3.* And the other forms, including plasma.
I read over 100 research summary articles, and nearly as many supporting papers and reports. My conclusion is that there is no definitive conclusion.
Bio-availability and Bio-efficiency of each form is about equal, with some studies leaning one way or the other. There is no strong causal relationship that can be demonstrated.
I think for the end user, the key take-away is to use whatever omega-3 you buy in a reasonable timeframe, store it in a cool dry location, and take it consistently for best effect.

If someone has definitive research that I missed, would love to read it. Please leave the title/author citation in the comments (external links usually don't work on youtube) and I'll go check it out.

My dog is keto like us;) she eats %90 food from grass fed beef or sardines mixed with tiny amount of organic pumkin for vitamin a and fiber. And daily supplement with grain free kinble with boar, duck, or buffalo meat. She's lean like me! Lol. Aldi's and Bj's sells inexpensive grass fed grass finished ground beef as well as high quality sardines.
