Getting one of these appointments is the most frustrating experience I ever had with an immigration office. It takes forever. As my first time in Germany entering with a Schengen visa, for my semester abroad. I was not prepared for how hard it is to get the permit. It took me a while successfully registered my address and get a bank account as my appointments for those get delayed back. Then I have to get an insurance and a block account which by the time I did I only had about 6 weeks left so I apply for an appointment through the online portal which gave me no response for 3 weeks and then submit a paper appointment request and nothing came of it yet. This appointment thing is too much of a road block combine with all the other stuff u have to prepare and appointments u have to make every for every step of the way make it feels like marathon. This german appointment thing make everything too annoyingly slow. I just probably gonna have to leave and finish my classes online but this is one of the worst immigration system ever. I heard a lot about how effective and efficient Germans are before I came, well now I know how BS that is. Doing all the appointment by post takes along as time why cant u just show appointment availability slots online and have people select and apply for it. I just don’t understand

I am an American retiree. I have my own retirement plan from my previous career. I do not need or want help from the government. I am on my second extension from my initial residence application. I am told I am not a priority because of my citizenship and ability to take care of myself financially. I signed my Aufenthaltstitel back in June and have my Fiktionsbescheinigung. What I don't understand is why it is taking so long to get the card. There doesn't seem to be anyone that can even tell me the status of the card. Perhaps I should come out of retirement and apply for a job at the AB to help move things along. 🙄🤪

Hello Jana, thank you for the information. I have submitted my documents forbvisa extension almost 5 weeks ago and i haven't heard anything from the authorities. Would you have any advice for a situation when the visa has expired?

Good evening. I hope you can advise me with my situation. I’ve been living and working here in Germany for 2 months now and my company gave me 7 days holiday which I will take this month. I have applied for my residence permit already but I still haven’t got it. My question is ~ is it valid to use my German national visa D ( still valid until 2025) to travel to Finland.

Thank you for the video. My passport is expiring this April and already have applied for a renewal of the passport and might take a while to receive the new one, my permanent resident card is also expiring at the same time. What should I do to continue getting SGB 2 while waiting for my passport to renew my resident permit?

Hello Jana,
My daughter has entered Berlin, Germany with a French students visa to study at the Berlin campus.
She has applied for extension of visa in Berlin. However, she is still awaiting for the process of her visa.
Therefore, please advise if she is allowed to over stay from the date of expiry of her present visa, till the the renewal visa formalities are complete.

Hello !

Thanks for this valuable information. I have a quesiton, though. I am a Blaue Karte holder, and I am planning to apply for a PR. Can I also apply for the PR for my wife and children? Or should they apply once that I have my PR already ?
Thanks in advance for your kind response 👏🏽

Hi Hello Germany, Thank you for the wonderful work that you do. I would like to let you know that I'm on a JobSeeker Visa and it expires on March 6th 2023 and I have got a job offer with MoneyGram in Frankfurt as a Sales Operations Analyst. The Bundesagentur für Arbeit has not yet started its analysis on my job.

My query Is if I get an appointment at the Bundesagentur für Arbeit After 6th March, 2023 will I be able to stay in Germany or should I take initiative now to extend the JobSeeker Visa considering that I have a valid Job offer.

Please do advise me on this

Hello yana, thank you for the videos.
I have one question, my residence permit is close to expired, i already send an email to the authorities and i think i can do my ausbildung without problem, but i wanted to do a minijob. Do you know if i am able to have a minijob with an "ungultig" residence permit?? The only thing i have is an automatic answer of the german authorities saying that until they dont answer, the email i sended to them works as a "temporal" aufenhanstitel only in German territories....
Thank you for the video! It was really helpful.
