Boxing defense is really important right? It's all well and good being able to attack, to punch hard, to be aggressive. If you spend most of your time eating punching because your boxing defense is a joke, then you're in for a very tough ring life.

When it comes to boxing defense doing the basics well pays off. Of course this is true in all aspects of boxing, but particularly boxing defense.

Ali!? 😂 Not on my best day Some of them in history just seem like one-offs. Just trained for so long, had exceptionally good trainers too btw, and fighting IQs way above the norm. Ali was one. For his size, I think Fury, whatever anyone thinks of him as a person and while not Ali in totality, he does have a ring IQ. Usyk KOd him on his feet at one point and imo, and how in the world he had the presence of mind to BOTH evade Usyks incoming punches when he COULDN'T raise his hands, AND he also used the ropes to hold himself upright and from hitting the mat, is extremely impressive, imo. When the horizon's going lopsided on you and gravitys ready to help, it's very tough, (and startling!), to have your equilibrium knocked to hell and still remain upright. He did that. I could never know, but i kind of think Ali would be impressed by that too. And importantly as you hinted at: They're pros, don't try this at home kids. 😂
