How I Had To FIx 4 Red Flashing Lights Of Death! Traxxas VXL ESC 4s Maxx

I had the 4 red flashing lights of death on my Traxxas Maxx 4s ESC.
My truck was NOT under warranty. But after searching the internet and not finding anything, I called Traxxas because the manual recommends it.
This is what happened!

I’m on my third ESC after over three years. All replacements were free. Sometimes (at least in my case) they will just give you free replacement well out of the claimed warranty.

The problem with what you believe to be a warranty is there is no lifetime warranty as traxxas does state this in every owners manual they have an insurance policy that covers the electronics for lifetime meaning you’ll pay half every-time 😮once it’s powered up the warranty is gone any defects have to be called in before you run it within 30days I’m definitely an xmaxx traxxas fan guy but found this out on my second new xmaxx the esc died the first run so putting in a max 6 esc seems to be a better choice for me cool video 👍

My UDR gave me the “lights” last night. I have the receipt and it’s less than 6 months old. Will they still charge me for the replacement?

just did this for my Maxx.

if you have a traxxas and dont want to use different batteries or ESC/Motors, this is a very good solution rather than paying full price for new parts.
