Thank you so much for this video @ScottHerman this was really enlightening for me I have nerve damage but try stretching to get my muscle back it's had to exercise my glues and I'm not able to touch my toes do you have any suggestion exercises to get my lower back and calf muscles to relax loosen up while building muscle?

Andre, the bar can easily roll. Most likely because you might go into a spinal flexion.

Saint.. keep your chest up and hold the bar to your shoulders/traps tight! :)

it has to do with leverage, in a deadlift you are lifting with your legs and then hinge your back at the top, when you do this, you will feel the stretch on your glutes and hamstrings when you go down, and you use those muscles on the way up.

bro the bar is on your neck, the instant you put a plate on there you’re gonna fuck up your neck. even if you did a proper high bar position (on the traps) it could still roll down your neck at the bottom of the movement. I’d highly suggest using a low bar position on good mornings

Well I'll give you my answer, since you're situation is similar to mine a couple years back. I too lost about 25kg in 8 months or so and had a ton of extra skin around my waist. The only thing that eventually worked was time, and after a year or so the skin had tightened up and looked good again. Hang in there, it's gonna get better with patience

the bar is meant to be held more across the shoulders rather than traps/neck. and, how does bending the knees have any effect on protraction/retraction?

you rest the bar on your shoulders, never your neck, just like when you're doing squats
