Once that process is left to dry, it is then time to apply the compound to fill up the void caused by the wood rot. The next product l tried from Monsta was one called Patch It....again...a totally environmentally friendly product and also water based.
After using the two wood rot repair products l was amazed at how well the repair looked when completed. Check it out and let me know what you think!

You know you've arrived when companies send you their product free of charge for testing. Well done Shane 👍

I have just ordered some wood epoxy filler after watching a few of these kind of videos. I have discovered that this stuff is more expensive than the wood being replaced. The small rot here took 1/4 of the half pail of goop used and mixed. My use is for carpenter ant damage and rot on a location that would need much more wood removed if taken out. So I'm hoping this saves much time while it loses on cost of wood it is replacing. Fun video :)

Thanks for sharing champ, I totally agree with you using none toxic products. Trying to find 0 VOC products can be a challenge. Milk, chalk or clay paints are the best, but trying to find a 0 VOC primer is a challenge. Double thumbs up mate 👍👍

Thanks for your awesome review Shane. I ordered both products (Fix & Fill) after being disappointed with many of the other products on the market. Can’t wait to get my order delivered and post my results (repairs to my back door and frame sill). 👍

By the color that it gets during the sanding I understand that it is a good product. I would also expect a test with a drill test!

Thanks for informative video. Good to know for future. But if this is being done on a beam under porch boards, could you get a screw in that securely to attach your porch boards? Or should I use an actual wood patch with glue and screws after removing bad spot?

Wow, that porch floor at the start is amazing.
Is there a video of it being installed and finished ?

Nice one mate, I’ll have to look out for them next time I do a fascia repair. The no slump factor is really good in that scenario

Cool, thats fantastic I'd certainly like to try those Monsta products, yet not wishing for any wood rot. Thanks for the video I find it very interesting to learn how these things are done.

Ian house sitting and forgot about the water bucket behind AC, I am drying it out now but is there anything I can do to reverse the damage on Vinyl/wood flooring?

It's sound promising, the question is. Will it stay stable a few years from now? and for how long? This remains to be seen.

Is it strong enough for bearers & joists on an outdoor patio. Totally repairing mine from scratch but can not cut of main bearers as they hold the weight & go under the house floor. Only on the top first 10 to 20 mm are wet & rotting, to scrape it off & put a layer of this product, will it take nails, nuts"n" bolts. It's a huge job. Oh and does the wood have to be dry for the first treatment. Thanks.

Top review. Looks like a handy product to keep around the house when window sills or handrails inevitably rot.

I got the Monsta ad when I came to watch this video (as I frequently do). They do look interesting.

Good to hear environment friendly, why the container is plastic one steel container could be used. Plastic is not environment friendly

Shane I'd be the bloke who is/was afraid of lifting a hammer (had an OUCH thumb experience once) but watching you, here might be your next Jimmy Carter after retirement. Remodeling/selling homes. Say are these name brands you show us generally available Stateside? Or would you even know?

I do wonder, the meterial you used seems to do the job. Question is: are there alternative which also makes the wood super strong? (harden it?). Would be happy to get your opinion on that. thanks.

Would this be useful for outdoor wooden steps, something that could bear weight . Enjoy review of product videos, hate spending money on products that don't work. Tkanks
