"Don't think you know it all, because you don't!" Great line! Most of us should post that on our mirror in the bathroom so we are reminded constantly.

This is EXACTLY what I need to do and i KNOW I can do this. This is in my wheelhouse, replacing the sill isn't. Just gotta wait for Spring. Thanks you so much for this video series to repair vs. replace-- and thanks for the great tips!

Nice to see a drill with a good old-fashioned chuck key. I miss those.

PC woody is awesome. I used it on some patio beams. It’s very easy to use. 👍

Tim,
What about the use of borate prior to the hardener? Is that necessary to stop ongoing rot?

What if you're dealing with facea? So the wood is over your head?

I used these products to repair a windowsill. I was skeptical & so was my family.
It really is as easy as this makes it seem.
My recommendation is to buy more than you think you need.
I followed all the instructions (including making sure windowsill was dry) and had to treat it with Petrifier 3x to get wood to thoroughly harden.
I’d used 2 step epoxy before so was familiar with how to mix & apply it. That was the next step.
Windowsill is hard as a rock & am just waiting to sand, prime & paint it.
I’m a 70 yo female with two strokes & heart disease. If I can do it, anyone can

If I want to stain the wood, should I do the treatments before or after?
Sorry if it’s a stupid question

How can I do this on a support of a high deck. The part of the deck off my house is small but the supports are rotten. I can’t replace the entire deck and I bought the house with the water rot and thought I could repair it. The small deck is more of a sitting area off my room than a deck used for weight! HELP. How do I work upside down to get it fixed

Hi Tim! To kill possible fungi of rotting wood of my crazy situation (see further) would you use Concrobium? Borate solution? Copper Sulfate? (As per comments-section in thisiscarpentry foam-rot-repair.) My situation is difficult. Stretches of 1950s wood-windowframes/doorsteps rotted due to no awnings. There's even a "finger crawlspace" behind the asbestos shingles at left of rotted window, which feels rotted. Past handymen never alerted me though i'd asked them to check around house..Limited funds...money-pit house..money-pit anatomy.

Tim, would you recommend this process on the load barring columns of a patio overhang? I have columns that are rotting at the bases. Or, should just replace them? I only need this to last another couple of years as I will be tearing this down for a room build-out by then. I don't want to invest a lot into the preservation of this patio.
