In the market for a new TV? The fact of the matter is, each television has its fair share of strengths and weaknesses. To meet your match, you first have to figure out all the features that matter to you the most.

The Sony A9G is the best of the bunch. Period. The OLED screen is fantastic, as is the software driving it. The smart features aren’t half bad, either. As such, we awarded it a rare five out of five in our review. Being the champion all-rounder it is though, it doesn’t come cheap — so it won’t appeal to everyone.

For OLED picture at a more affordable price, the LG C9 delivers 95% of the performance of Sony's OLEDs, at a somewhat more attainable price.

If you’re looking for something a bit more affordable, the TCL 6-Series could be a better fit. Loyal to a different manufacturer? Consider the Samsung Q9FN or Sony Master Series A9F. The fact of the matter is, each television has its fair share of strengths and weaknesses. To meet your match, you first have to figure out all the features that matter to you the most. Once you’ve done that, scroll down to meet the TV of your dreams.

Love your stuff. You fill a decently sized void in the industry. I bought a Samsung Q80R a few months ago and I feel it doesn't get enough love. It's retailing for $1, 999 right now and offers 'almost' all the benefits of the Q90 at quite a bit of savings. I'd love to hear your detailed thoughts on it as if seems kind of forgotten but has the best customer reviews of any Samsung TV. On Best Buy the 65 Q80R (what I have) has over 200 reviews at 4.9 right now out of 5.0. That's amazing. Thanks for all you do!

Got a C9 and the picture quality is unreal. Best picture quality and the brightness is amazing. Black levels are, well it’s OLED so they’re flawless.

Just ordered a LG C9 OLED. $1600 for a 55” was hard to beat. Loved the Sony OLEDs but can’t afford the premium price.

Absolutely love my Sony A8G👌🏼 the picture and sound is so amazing!!! i compared it with LG C9 before buying it, but then i noticed that the picture quality, upscaling and motion processing of LG is no where near with A8G😊

Went to Costco and bought the 4k UHD 75" tv. Absolutely wonderful thus far. Didn't break the bank either. Liking the mouse remote and picture quality. The size takes some getting used to as we had a 52" for ten years. This tv is HUGE. Worth it.

I like my LG C9 because the speakers are Dolby Atmos and if I don't want my 7.1 amp on I don't really need to. Plus it also detects what is plugged into the HDMI ports (like you mentioned in the video) and all 4 ports support fully featured 2.1 HDMI ports. The setting options are bonkers with the amount of them. I also enjoy the IPTV they offer for streaming all kinds of different channels. Also the C9 offers variable refresh rate which the SONY A9G doesn't. The LG C9 gets significantly brighter than the A9G and the brighter the TV the better Dolby Vision is. The C9 also has better colour volume and colour gamut. The gradient is slightly better on the A9G. Surprisingly the LG C9 has better motion handling and the input lag is also better than the A9G maqking it better for gaming. SAMSUNG TVs are a definite no go for me or any of my cinema theater friends because of the lack of the industry standard Dolby Vision.

C9 with g sync coming and hdmi with rtx graphics card is a winner for me, probably the best gaming tv atm.

I am in love with my c9. My first OLED too. Bought it 2 weeks ago. No regrets. Haven't used it to it's full potential though.

I upgraded to 4k 2 years ago with my Hisense 558HC and Sony UBP X800 and have never looked back. Sure, this setup is only HDR10, but it's the best picture I've ever had and I love it.

Hi Caleb,
Very helpful review. Thank you!
Could you please let me know which TV do you consider best from picture quality point of view between these four: Sony 55XF9005 / 49XG9005, Samsung Q70R and LG 49SM9000PLA.
Thank you!

Caleb you got it right. Processing matters and Sony's processing cannot be beat at this moment.
