I have been an LG fan for quite a while. I have a model 49UJ6500 right now and was able to get a great price on the 49SK8000. This is pretty high end for me so it will be exciting to see how it works out. Thanks for the review!

Love this video. Very helpful. I already returned the LG 6300. the screen reflected a lot of light from outside in comparison with my older Samsung (the two were set up in front of one another and WoW what a difference). Nevertheless, this info was very helpful. Thank you.

I had almost made up my mind on LG because of the rave reviews of the operating system.
I've been a Samsung guy for a while but their "smart" tvs are really not that smart at all.

Sir I definitely agree with you about the LGSK8000! I have the 55 inch, and it doesn’t disappoint at least not for me. I paid under $700 for it and the picture make you feel like you got one heck of a deal! Yes there are better options out there, but if you can find this Tv on a deal then you got a winner!

I chose Samsung. I think it offers the most for my money. Samsung last it me 23 year's. My last one did before it died.

at first look in the stores, I find it difficult to choose on picture quality. The store's lighting doesn't immulate my home lighting. Great comments below . LONGEVITY is most important to me. Other LG (large) appliances are crap. Picture quality seems good from a novice perspective, great price points, too. That said, I will have some trouble settling on any LG product (lipstick on a pig?) I was hoping to gain some confidence on the LG Tv durability. Didn't find that here..

I think the Samsung's picture is the least desirable from what I see on video. I enjoy the look of the LG and the sound like you said. I think the Sony has a great quality looking video from what I see here too. I'd be happy with either. The usability of its smart interface would probably streer me towards LG as well.

thanks. I've been a Samsung guy. just got a 50 inch Samsung...but need a 43 inch for the bedroom and the sale on Samsung/Lg are about the same....but was starting to favor the LG because I heard the sound was better. I'll go look today and decide. thanks

LG's display is a bit dark but I think the color pops up that looks balance and Natural..LG is best

Can you please do a video on lg’s ips rgbw screen? I keep hearing it’s not a true 4K and/or the color’s are washed out because of the added white spectrum. I don’t understand? I watched two videos one was from Samsung saying rgbw isn’t 4K it’s 3k and another video from lg saying it is true 4K. Why do tv manufacturers have to make so many different competing variations? Don’t answer that lol I know the answer unfortunately. Great video also! Highly informative.

lg pictures are dark, details are worse than ugly colors ... so it's supposed to win ??...

very true... I also think LG is the best...man just look at those bright portions of the image it is bringing those details out of light while sony and samsung are over exposing the image...
