Why can't God just forgive sin without Jesus' death?

A gruesome image like like the cross raises some serious questions, especially when placed onto the backdrop of a so-called 'loving' God. How could a loving God allow this to happen? Is there an easier way to forgive?

I grew up as a Christian and off course I am older now still trying to understand why Jesus had to die for the sins of humanity and even after watching this video still doesn't make sense to me

Context and eisegesis won't cover it I'm afraid. The Hebrew bible is clear. God forgives sins if we repent. This of course would challenge your position in that Paul stated 'Christ has died for nothing', that would be to say, a 1st century tekton and illiterate Jew died at the hands of the Romans, eagerly believing himself to be the soon to reign Davidic king. 2000 years ontop of that means Christian apologists will have to work a little harder to explain their position. I do think they are asking good questions though and this video covers an unpopular topic. Good attempt and have a good day.

Wonderful explanation! Thankyou 😊 I've been asked this question in the past and felt that I struggled to give a satisfactory answer, this is so helpful 🤗

But who was the debt paid to? Like was there an unspoken law between someone/something else that said if your creation fails they're mine and if they do then the only way for you to get them back is to die?

Why does God ask us to forgive others but yet he condemns so many to hell? It also says “it pleased the father to bruise the son” what loving God would want to see his son beaten to death and hung on a cross? Since God can do anything, then why couldn’t he solve the problem of sin in the world?

My answer is yes. He forgave in the Old Testament and forgave us before he died. He died because of his Sacrifiicial love for us. And he overcame death. He rose again! That is great news!

Well what changed after the death of christ? As we can see humans are still sinful.

You have to read Torah - Bible - Quran with neutral perception…and ask your heart which one is make sense and reveal the truth. The idea inside Jesus die for human sins will ENCOURAGE people to do bad things or killing without reason as the sins are already put on Jesus life which is he said he is Messenger of God and he said he pray to God with head to ground in early morning

I'm curious how and when belief became the mechanism of salvation. We didn't have to believe our way into our sin nature but the sacrifice that was made is insufficient or inactive in covering us until we believe that it was made. That's a bit difficult to understand and maybe the confusion comes from thinking about the sacrifice in terms of debt. If I write a check to pay off a mortgage, the debt goes from being owed to having been paid. Personal beliefs on the matter are irrelevant

God did just forgive in the Jewish scripture, the sacrifices where for unintentional sin and guilt offerings.
For intentional sin you had to repent, and God would forgive.
Ezekiel chapter 18 tells us each is responsible for their own sin. And that God forgives when we do what is right .
Proverbs 17, 15
He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, both are abominable before God .

If Jesus died to pay your sin debt then he would still be dead. Thats the wages for your sins, eternal death. No one can pay your sin debt. You must repent for your own sins. This is the ONLY propiation for sins and always has been. The prodigal son, Zavheus, and king David are prime examples that the Father DOES just forgive us IF we return to him. Ezekiel 18. Read the bible folks.

"Why can't God just forgive sin without Jesus' death?", Matt 9:1-6 states he did.
Clearly Yeshua had not yet been put to death yet he pronounced sins forgiven. In
practical terms this illustrates "Substitutional Atonement" theory is error.

Jesus' sacrifice fixed everything...except for all the times it didn't.
