40 Day Fast Experience

This is my personal testimony of my 40 days of prayer and fasting experience told on day number 40 of my fast.

I started my fast yesterday:
(Only vegetables, spice and olive oil- 40 days)

I failed two times, it's my first time fasting but I'm on day 3 today.

It's easier now, because i pray and I feel the Lords presence and have started reading the bible for the first time in my life😁

I feel like a totally different person since I started my 40 day water fast, when I woke up upside down on my bed, hanging halfway off of it, hungover from a Saturday night of bad eating and drinking.

I felt disgusted with myself, fake friends, distractions from constant social media, and overall disappointed with the direction my life was going physically, spiritually and emotionally.

I had a moment of clarity that morning, and haven’t looked back ever since.

I knew that, in order for me to truly change course, I had to take a radical approach.

I had a moment of clarity that morning, and I made a hard reset in my life.

I remembered in the Bible that there were 3 men recorded in the Bible who took radical approaches with a fast of 40 days and 40 nights. They were Elijah, Moses and Jesus.

Consequently, it was Elijah and Moses who appeared in front of the disciples when Jesus was transfigured and spoke with Him, if my memory serves.

I began my physical, spiritual and emotional journey alone that day with a water fast of 40 days and 40 nights.

I’m on day 39 have lost close to 50lbs so far, with no loose skin, maintaining my muscle, and have my normal energy to accomplish my daily tasks.

Aside from the fat loss, I no longer have the desire to drink at all, and my mental sharpness has increased tenfold.

I have replaced social media, and have began learning new skills via videos on YouTube, which has led to learn about free courses given by the top universities in the country such as Harvard University via edX.

I’ve even started learning new languages.

There is a wealth of knowledge out there available at our fingertips to improve our lives, but you have to get rid of the distractions around you to hear and see what’s plainly in front of you.

Just how you have to clear the distractions in and around you to see what opportunities and blessings God has plainly in front of you.

I fully intend to finish this 40-day journey, and it is really not the end at all, but is merely the beginning of a new direction in my life overall.

I hope this can reach someone who needs encouragement, and the motivation to step out of the ordinary into the extraordinary.

I agree with the part about preparing food for others while fasting.. it’s a very humbling yet fulfilling experience. I remember one time I made eggplant parmigiana and a cake for my in laws while I was doing a dry fast.. and they said they felt bad eating in front of me, but for me it made me happy to see them enjoying the food. God is so good. I’ve seen miracles happen through fasting and prayer! It’s beautiful!! I got saved out of the new age and have gotten deliverance and have been born again since then! (I have my testimony on my channel) My mother was a reiki healer, so I was pretty familiar with chakras and stuff. Eventually I even started a business making jewelry with crystals and stuff. Disgusting to me now.. but back then I thought I was helping people. After a few months of getting into the new age, Jesus came and snatched me up. He completely healed me and saved me. Opened my eyes to see the truth and see how deceived I had been before.. I used to be such a prideful person and so stubborn.. now, pride disgusts me, and stubbornness is gone. I’m a completely different person. I’m free!!! I’m healed!!! Physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually!! All because of Jesus!❤️✝️

I just did a 9 day fast. I agree with the going out in public you feel like your floating and being a spirit ❤. I did it for spiritual reasons as a Christian also. The Holy spirit has lead me to this video for a reason. I am going to attempt this 40 days fast thank you God bless

One thing I want to add now that it is has been 2 or 3 weeks after this fast.

I notice I am walking around in a very thick cloud of God's presence constantly at all times. Unlike anything else I have ever walked in before in my life.

Which is very nice and comforting.

Otherwise life is going as usual. I am sure though, that I must of broke something open over my life in the spiritual.

Just have to wait and see what that all turns out to be as time goes by.

The Lord called me to do a 40 -day fast this year. I've done a couple of 21 day fasts last year, but I'm honestly a little nervous because of the length of time. I do know the Holy Spirit will be there for me tho. 🙏

I found you channel through your comment on TLR. Saw this video on your list and was interested in your experience. Very good, honest and sincere presentation, thank you. I suffered with an organic brain injury which limits my fasting time but I found a way around it earlier this year by doing a 40 day fast up to my birthday. But I fasted from breakfast and lunch Mon - Friday for 8 weeks and ate normally in the weekend. So not quiet a proper 40 day fast but still God honours it regardless. And changes for good! One thing I had never experienced before in fasting was a very real sensation of having my soul afflicted! Like I was being whipped, it was hurtful, but I realised that it was because I was eating food and it was hurting my soul! My mother died recently and while walking a grieving I realised the feeling of grieve was similar to my fasting afflicted sensation. But the difference was that I could eat to stop the feeling for fasting but what could I do for the loss of my mum? So I realised how true it is that death is definitely not from God nor is sorrow and pain and so heaven will not have these things, praise Jesus!

That’s awesome you were able to do this fast! The longest fast I’ve ever did was 4 days 😬. I felt like I was gonna starve. 🤦‍♀️ I’m gonna start fasting more though, I really feel like I need to again. Great video!!! 🐶

this just showed up on my tl a couple weeks before I got into my 40 day fast (I’m a christian too) and I wear nails so my nails are kinda damaged and they need a break so I’m glad to hear yours were renewed. but I’m also glad to hear about your experience because you mentioned quite a few things that I was looking forward too or had questions on. also maybe it’s just me but you’re funny 😂

Hi John in UK lockdown I quickly got addicted to junk food it wa intense the more I eat the more I craved my waist line massively expanded after 9mounth i whent to the Doctor's for a check up as soon as he saw me he got the scales out i had gained 145lbs in 9mounths so embarrassing . you are a marval so inspiring how much didi you lose in the 40day fast
