Engine and gearbox are the intellectual property of a Munich-based car manufacturer and we didn't get clearance to reveal details, correct.

Glad you like our cutaway car. One problem is that the car is from 2008, so there are a few things we simply can't show with it (like DRS). We'll think about doing something longer again for next year. You'll have to live with the shorties for this year though... 5 more to go.

Did you seriously cut a F1 car in half just to show us on YT all of those gooey bits that usually only a chosen few get to see? You're the fucking best, ha!

Yes, we did. Well, kind of... Not really... The idea of doing the cutaway was first (basically as an exhibit at our factory), then came YouTube and your huge interest in it, which is why we did the vids.

This cut away car is probably the single greatest tool to teach the technical aspects of a formula 1 car, it's such a waste that you are using it for very short videos that tells us next to nothing about the car. Can you please do a few longer videos.

Does it work similar to an optical mouse?

Not really. We use various sensors to measure speed (e.g. wheel speed on each individual wheel), the Correvit is just one tool.

awesome videos, but why so short? :-(

Why is the engine and gearbox been hidden by that plate? Since you have clearly split it also. Must been alot of work. Did the engine manufactor reject showing it after the work was allready done?

Probably already shot and ready to be uploaded. Sorry guy.

Good thing is...The folks at Sauber are so nice...That if you wandered into Switzerland...They'd probably give you a look at the cutaway and enough of an insight to build your own lol

Way to short. There´s more intro/outro then actual content.
