Subtle hint that watching too many videos on OCD can be a compulsion as well. OCD recovery is 10% information and 90% action.

The "writing out the fear" part is soo helpful. With my type of OCD, it makes me see the irrationality of the connection between the fear and the compulsion. I've got a lot of compulsions surrounding objects (i.e. "Don't wear that shirt, because x might happen" or "Don't read that book or.." and so on) so really taking time to write down "If I read that novel, he'll never ask me out" makes me laugh so much at my own OCD that I won't let myself be bullied by it anymore.

This is amazing! I suffer from ROCD and I watch your videos on and off. This video made me laugh during a tough time :)

The beginning of the video was literally me. I would do anything to avoid therapy including buying supplements, ice baths, meditation, etc cause in my mind, if I did therapy, it could mean my worst fears would come true. It's crazy how OCD works.

Your videos really help me. Thank you so much. It's an outside influence, it helps support my brain because my OCD won't capitulate sometimes. I can feel the delusions fading away little by little

Thank you for your very informative and positive videos. I find them a great help as I try to free myself from the OCD that has dominated my life for 33years. Over the years I have tried every medication that is normally presciped for OCD, saw a therapist every week for over 11years and bought an entire library of books on 'how to overcome OCD'. It is only now because of videos like yours that I truly believe recovery is possible. Thanks to your supportive words I have started to truly face my many fears, writing this is one of them. Best wishes.

Honestly just having your videos come up on my feeds helps me a lot. I always felt the need to check check check all the time and just knowing that your videos will come up every once in a while kind of alleviates the constant need to check.

Yep, my mind is definitely going to try and manipulate some of these because that's what it wants me to do, but I'm going to CHOOSE not to!

I laughed a lot during this. It was like a satirical infomercial about OCD. 😂

I’m 32 and didn’t realize how much I struggled with OCD, more so scrupulosity. As a Christian I’ve had a hard time weathering through this and dealing with a narcissistic parent only added fuel to the fire.

But as I’m learning I’m slowly growing. My faith in Christ has kept me grounded and these videos have helped educate me as well. 😊

I don't care about thoughts occurring in my head. I won't to know for sure that those intrusive thoughts I have had about my kids when they were small weren't actually real occurrences. But I'll never know for sure, because I can't remember what's true or false in my memory bank. And so I'm depressed every day all the time, because I don't want to have ever been a heinous monster. And that's my life in perpetuity. And it makes me sad. Basically, I'm terrified that I don't actually simply have ocd, and that those thoughts were actually real occurrences, but I can never know for sure, and it eats away at my soul.

Hi Nate!! Love your videos😊😊 I had some video Ideas for you because these are things I definitely struggle with/ have questions on

- real event/false memory ocd and unconditional self acceptance

- how to stop rumination and other mental compulsions

- integrating ACT therapy into ocd recovery

- self compassion in OCD recovery. It’s definitely hard to recover when you feel you don’t deserve to
