I was grinding my teeth, clenching all day and night. I strictly followed your instructions and performed this routine daily for a month or so and I have been cured for around 5 months now. Thank you so much!

Summary of the video:
1. Rotate the tongue and touch the upper palate(upper jaw) with a bit of force
2. Same as above position and try to open and close the mouth
3. Practice meditation/breathing exercises to reduce stress

In 63 and I've clenched my teeth since I was about 17 y/o. I've had 4 TMJ surgeries (both sides twice) The second surgery a graft of cartilage from my hip was transplanted to replace the meniscus' on both sides. I'm so grateful my Dr refused to use what was popular, which was Teflon. Teflon later was proven to be extremely detrimental in many ways.
I wish I'd found the info you shared years ago! My teeth are now paying the price by cracking and my gums are receding. I have a night guard, 1 of many over the yrs. I hate it!
I felt refief right after practicing along with you. Thank you so much! 🙏💜🙏

I'm crying, thank you very much. Thanks to anxiety I always have my jaw clenched and have constant headaches but I cannot help it, is automatic, I just don't realize when I do it and even forgot how is supposed to be the neutral posture for the jaw, I always feel pressure at the sides of my head.

I can feel the immediate difference, i clench my teeth when im annoyed, anxious, bored, and worried. My jaw and teeth dont feel so sore.
It took me 5 minutes of doing what you said to realize how long ive been clenching my teeth. Thank you.

This is great info if you are awake but most clenchers, like myself, clench in their sleep and aren't aware they are doing it. How do you stop -that-?

Thank you so much! My jaw was so painful because my jaw muscles are so stressed, I had this since elementary and I'm 24 now, and it was getting worse, I felt instant relief.

you! Yes, mine is linked to stress. I also clench at night, which I can get a mouth guard for, but didn't know ideas to stop during the day.

I just got a wisdom tooth removal of four extractions and I noticed that I've been waking up crunching my jaw which is in turn caused some tension and some pain. I am high anxiety person, and I'm not medicated for it. Having someone confident in their knowledge and with the qualifications that you have gives me the comfort and relief that there is a way to deal with my clenching.
Thanks again

I have a problem with clenching my jaw because of ptsd; it causes my head to jolt & twitch sometimes when I try to relax or sleep. I haven’t talked to anyone about it because it’s so embarrassing. Thanks for this.

A million Thanks to you, Dr O'Guin. I realize now I suffer from bruxism since I lost two upper molars to that. Anywho, I am really happy I found your video. I aim to practice your techniques. I am stressing out from being stressed out, lol. Thanx again. What a nice name O'Guin is!

Great video. I am sitting here with an ice pack on my left jaw. Sometimes level 10 pain. I don't have TMJ but I know I do clench, espec at night so that's prob what brought it on. At one point my ear canal was swollen almost shut. The exercises in this video are gentle and not aggressive at all so they do not stir up the pain once I get it settled down. I altenate different OTC medications too. Any drs I call, the appts are weeks/months away so I have no choice but to self-treat. Good luck to anyone suffering from this as it is extremely painful.

I'm going through a really really rough time with chronic stress at the moment. And for some reasons youtube keeps recommending me videos about TMJ (for context I do follow chiropractors). Yours was the one that finally made me cave into watching cuz it applies to a broader range.
And THANK YOU. This did help right away and it is something that I've been struggling for, for a while to the point apparently Youtube knew before I did. Great exercises and very clear instructions.

Can I just say, you are such a GREAT doctor! I love how you give exercised but then talk about the more integrative reasons that this could be happening, like stress and then offer how meditation and breathing can help. I LOVE this doctor so much because I think this sort of integrative approach, seeing the patient as a whole of two parts, one physical and emotional is SO important. One of the great failings of our western medical approach is not taking the psychoemotional component into consideration. We need more doctors like you..super grateful for your video and I hope other doctors that are beginning their careers are of the same mindset. Thanks again.
