How to roll or move an Automatic car without starting it. BMW

BMW and other cars have a lock on the automatic gear shifter so that you cannot move the car or 'roll it'. But this can be annoying if your car won't start or if you don't want to start it.
I show you the procedure here to get past the locking system and roll your car just like you can with a manual transmission in Neutral.

Wow. Does the break and wheel work if you do this? My bmw is on an inclined garage and I need to roll it down a hill before the tow truck can clamp it lol.

I did this once but I didn't knew how to stop the car and the car rolled forward and nearly about to crash front car I pulled hand brake up and it make some horrible noise
I m curious did I damage my brake

Just gota be careful that the engine isn’t running which could affect the breaking mechanism. Ie. You’re freewheeling and your breaks won’t work.
