Now do this at a bodyshop everyday, denibbing, getting runs out, smoothing out texture - with your manager yelling at your for 'taking too long', setting expectations for 20 minutes to wetsand, compound, and polish a black panel thats fresh out the booth.
Only given a Dewalt rotary, 3M perfect-it system, and the cheapest wetsand/DA Paper one can buy! Fun!!!

I've always had a Magnus Walker sort of philosophy to this kind of thing, "dirt doesn't make me slower". However, I can definitely see that going the extra 1, 2, 10 steps pays off. Thanks for all the informative video's.

With all those modern high solid clears I can imagine it is a painstaking process, especially using small blocks and pads. The cross-hatch wetsanding pattern explained in this video is one of the trade tricks that has helped me improve my technique and save a lot of nerves. At times I was literally going nowhere on HS clears with good ole "back and forth". Thanks guys, you are the best!

Watched a few of your other videos involving wet sanding and coming into this with basically zero experience with polishing/wet sanding.. I just did my entire car by hand 1000-2000-3000 and wow is it ever a ton of work. Small car and it took me about a week spreading it out over a couple hours an evening but does it ever pay off.  Made a $2500 paint job way more presentable. Thanks for posting all of these videos truly appreciate it, been a huge help to me!

I always thought that you had the patience and skill of a robot. Then you introduced me to Full credit to the man. Thank you both for a brilliant tutorial.

Thanks for the demo and tips/techniques. You encouraged me to do my own wet sanding and polishing on my project!

My car had a bad paint job done to the rear panel. For years I refused to pay s.loads of money to re-paint it as "experts" advised me is not repairable. Well... after watching this video and making practice to an old fender, I have ot a go. I wish I could post pics, when I started I took a picture, you can barely see my tshirt has letters on. After I finished I could read the lettérs properly. You just need a lot of time in hans, and a lot of patience. The results are hugely rewarding. Thanks Larry!!

I came here b/c it said BY HAND. What do you do for the final (polishing) stage if you don't have access to a machine?

Another great video, thanks for uploading this. Since I've discovered the AMMO channel it has become my go-to channel for detailing tips. Larry, you are such a genuine guy and demonstrate each scenario in a very realistic fashion. Also I like the outtakes!!!

Now, that's another outstanding video. I just wanted to say "as we came to expect from Larry", but that would be taking his excellent work for granted and I'd never do that. I didn't even know you could do anything about orange peel. Glad to learn that you can. Again, this video is a cut above the rest. Keep up the good work, Larry!

Out-freaking-standing!!! I'm late to the game, never realized it was possible to remove the orange peel look. Of to the junkyard for some practice pieces!!!!

This is absolutely mental, 1000 hours on a car for a show. Because of stuff like that, better products and techniques trickle down to everyday car detailing/polishing situations. The results are amazing.

Btw what car is that. Looks like the VW version of a PT Cruiser

Awesome timing on this. I finally figured out what the waves in my paint were and found out it was everywhere. Now I can't unsee it and really want to fix it on my car. I was getting ready to shoot you an email about it and you posted this. Btw, thanks for all the great content. My wife gives me crap because she always sees me watching this stuff, but I've been able to learn a lot. Thanks so much for the attention to detail, and for putting out so many awesome videos.

Hi, My question might sound stupid but, except for such demos, do You do a whole car first with the sanding and afterwards compounding the whole car and when that is completed do the finishing for the whole car. OR do You complete one section from start to finish and then go to the next section until
Thanks Bernhard
