Wonderful! Thank you for presenting a simple, doable process for removing orange peel and scratches without having to invest thousands of dollars in exotic sanding and polishing equipment. I've watched dozens of YouTube videos on this subject, and they are all kind of demoralizing. They go into very complicated procedures with fifty kinds of products and machines which are clearly beyond the reach of a guy who simply wants to shine up the finish on a less than perfect paint job. I have no idea how I stumbled upon this video while looking up how to care for my piano, but that looked impressive

Did similar on 2 of my cars after painting. Looked terrible after the first pass w/ 1000 grit wet-sand, with shiny depressions, but once I sanded all the shiny spots sanded away, a uniform dull surface. Then after 2000 grit and heavy cutting compound, I started seeing shine at an angle. After 2 finer compounds it magically became mirror smooth without even any swirls. About to paint a 3rd car, so hoping less orange-peel (after watching youtubes) so less finish work needed.

You make this look so easy when in fact it's really hard. It takes quite a bit of skill to properly remove orange peel and finish it out well without permanently messing up the paint.
