It's easier if you remove the top and bottom caps before doing the side scores. Also do the side scores slanted and curved instead of perpendicular and straighr. It helps to avoid cutting into the soft part and makes peeling the skin easier. I usually make six scores instead of four.

Fun Fact!
Dont throw out the Peels you cand blend it and put it in a tea bag for orange flavored tea which is good for digestion
And if you search up a tutorial you can use it to make candied orange peels as a yummy snack
