My sons dad and I used to argue a lot and his eyes started to go blank and very black and it would terrify me. I would tell him “don’t look at me like that, your eyes are scaring me.” It was like there was no spirit, just evil. Like he could kill me and not blink. I’m so happy I left.

Thank you for validating that this really happens. My family did not believe me when I told them my boyfriend’s eyes went solid black during an argument. I knew my life was in danger. But when I went to my family for help they were so manipulated by this man that they essentially gaslit me. They told me it’s not possible for eyes to turn black. Of course my boyfriend was an angel in their eyes. They wanted me to marry that monster. I always knew I was right, that I witnessed him unleash his demons on me. His mask fell off and I saw what looked like the pits of Hell in his eyes. It’s been 7 years now, but I know I’m not crazy… thank God I got away from that man. I pray for whoever he is victimizing now - he targets young girls. Charming people like him get away with the most horrific things.

This was my father 110%. He was 5-11, 250lbs of gorilla rage. He was freakishly strong having never worked out or did any manual labor. He was relentless and would smash everything and everyone he was mad at. He terrified police officers. I got pulled over once and the officer recognized my last name and my face, I look a lot like him, he said if my dad was half the mthrfkr he was when he knew him, he wanted no part of it and let me go. The guy went pale when he made the connection. That interaction validated my experience and perception of my father. That’s how I grew up. So glad he is dead. I know true evil, I was raised by it. You never knew what would set him off but it was all the time. I hate how I get jealous of how naive people are from being raised in a safe home.

I've seen this once before myself. I was dating the pianist at our church, of all things! I had been caring for her after hip surgery which confined her to the upstairs bedroom for a few weeks. I was juggling that and work and it was a lot. She herself was caring for her brother who was paralyzed so I had to do that too. When she finally made downstairs, she went off about the house. I was at the sink doing dishes and turned to 'defend' myself and that's when I saw.."it". I threw down the sponge and left, never to return. Needless to say, I no longer attend that church either..

This is true, I witnessed this During my off and on 14yr situation with my ex narc. I’ve learned to not refer to it as a relationship because it never was. I witnessed the blacking of her eyes during sex more than once and during random conversations…or arguments rather, because having a conversation was impossible. NPD is something the world should take more seriously. Unfortunately most people don’t know wtf they’ve encountered until it’s too late. Once you do find out and put the pieces together….NEVER EVER put yourself in that situation again. Every moment spent with a narc is a moment of your life you’ve lost. Avoid them at all costs if you can at all.

This was one of the final straws for me. I was on a quiet road with the Narc (arguing in the car) & his blue eyes turned black & empty. Something in me told me “he’s looking at you like you’re prey”. I was never alone with him again after that!

Wow, I needed to become 62 to finally get information about these "black eyes"! My father, before he hit us got these black eyes, each time his face changed like that, we kids knew it's time to run!
We kids always said, "he's got again the squirrel eyes", because his eyes went round staring and black"!

I had this experience.

When I told this covert narcissist, something she had guarded her entire life and what she had thought no one would ever find out, that moment I saw her eyes were pitch black.

It was at a time I had just stumbled into realizing that there is something like Narcissism and didn't know that confronting them is going to make situations worse.

As I was pouring my emotions out, she sat emotionless. I had never seen anything like that. I was really scared.

Reptiles are very territorial. What shows up in them is evil that stands exposed.

Strangely enough, I never saw their eyes turn black. However, one night during my divorce with the first NPD I encountered, I started sleeping on the couch because weird stuff was happening at night and it's not a good idea during a divorce. He also had freaked me out many times over watching me when he thought I was asleep. Standing at the foot of the bed or next to the bed for long periods. I wear glasses, but one night I saw a jet black shape of him standing next to an archway into the dining room, thought it was him, but I couldn't see any skin color with the small lamp behind him. I pretended I was asleep on the couch. When I finally fully opened my eyes, the shape was gone, and no matter how many times I scrunched up my eyes, I couldn't recreate what I saw. The more I thought about it, I recalled the house had been quiet. I never heard his ankles crack walking down the hall, the bedroom door knob rattle, or the bed squeak when he got back into bed. So, my eyesight might be in question, but there was nothing wrong with my hearing. It wasn't him but what crawled around in his human meatsuit. Not a doubt in my mind.
