That is one of the main reasons I like to throw a jig with a bluegill pattern ( green with orange belly) up shallow; especially in the spring. Everyone is looking to catch their PB this time of year, and that's a great way to do it.

I bought some these last year just didn't get a chance to truly use them. And when I did I didn't have any luck and I don't think I gave them a fair chance. I did a slow to steady retrieve killing it every so often. Is that how I am supposed to fish them? Bouncing off the bottom?
