Pain with sitting can be from a chronic ligament injury - A Prolotherapist's approach to treatment

Показать описание
PA Danielle Matias discusses the frustrating condition of pain with sitting and injured tissues that connect to the ischial tuberosities and tailbone. This can be especially bothersome for delivery drivers and office workers who sit for hours at a time. It can also be an area of the body that is painful in athletes who need a lot of power and strength in the lower body in order to excel in their sports, and cyclists who put a lot of continuous pressure on their sits bones. When traditional treatments, cushions, posture changes, rest, etc. have not resolved the pain, often a more comprehensive exam of the ligaments in the area is needed. If there is ligament laxity/injury found, our approach is to treat with Prolotherapy to stimulate the ligaments to repair and strengthen.

After 2 decades of pain, I finally had a dr take me seriously. Got a referral and going in for consultation in a few days.

I've had coccyx/joint/glute/rectal pain for 4 months since heavy lifting. I've had 47 different consultations in that time, and nobody has diagnosed a ligament tear except for me. I was driven to diagnose it myself through research because of the intense pain I'm in. And you're helping to confirm that. I hope an experienced physio will help me.

I had this problem for about 5 years, then just by accident I took glucosamine & chondroitin for another reason, & it stopped - And on the odd occasion I stopped the supplement it returns - I've had more than 2 decades of pain free sitting down on hard surfaces.

i fell off my bike at 12, i woke up to the most excrutiating pain imagineable, if i had the choice of instant death or to have that pain again, i would choose death, NO HESITATION. I went to hospital and they only had xray, I was given voltaren and then sent home after 2 weeks, I kept saying the pain was excrutiating but they just knew everything, I never had surgery or physio and I will say, if you have done this injury GET SURGERY straight away. Now I am 39 and am in so much pain I can no longer work, it has cost me well over 1 million dollars in lost income and it has cost me 40k ish in treatment to relief pain for just a few hours. I can't sit, walk, sleep, stand in one place for much time before I implode from pain. I recently had a ct scan and they said they can't help me, I don't know why my injury was so intense or what I ever done tbh, but it never ever healed. It almost never even got better, I was in intense pain ever since.

36 male here. I believe I have got this injury while performing deadlifts. Nobody has suggested me ultrasounds to diagnose that. I have started swimming and going back to the gym progressively to feel better, but ligaments are not healed 100%. I believe they are 60% of their original strength.

For the past 5 years, I've had tail pain on one side and problems with sitting. After a while it was difficult for me to stand for a few minutes, and it was difficult for me to walk and work because it was difficult for me to move. I have been to many doctors and still have no solution. Has anyone been through this and recovered? Can you help?

Great video. Thanks for sharing. In case such is diagnosed ligaments damage, what is the solution?
MRI came negative, but ultrasound will determine better. But all symptoms you explained and I have.
Can you at least point me to the right direction?

Thanks a lot for this

I fell on my right ishium but still I can walk and run smoothly there is no problem in that but when I sit it slightly feels or pains on that area, the pain is negligible but it does feel. It also pains when I sit and put my full body weight on it. Is it serious or is it a fracture? And what type of exercise shall I do to get rid of it. Please do reply.

so an x-ray will show nothing only an ultra sound? and this is a pelvis injury not ligament? i injuried myself over streching everyday and i thought i pulled my muscles in my buttocks. now i can't sit unless its on a firm mattress. and this has cause my cronic migranes to inflame. to now i can't do anything anymore.

How do you know if it's a ligament injury versus Pudental neuralgia?

What sort of centers would offer this sort of treatments and actual diagnosis with care. Im in toronot and I've had about 6 different practitioners, doctors, and every person gives their own diagnosis. I was diagnosed with sciatica and given naproxen when I am positive I have an illiolimbar ligament sprain. Also I am hypermobile.
