I eat raw food not on a restriction but because it makes me feel better my body loves it truly listen to my body. I created my own recipe and all raw foods are great. Even non organic foods are great. Seasonal fruits, nuts, seeds, veggies foods are great. Enjoy raw foods not base on restrictions. Whatever is available are basically good for our body. It wholes the same benefit as others raw foods.

Thanks for sharing! I relate to your story - I live in a region of the United States where the winter season is very long and cold. Most of the raw vegan gurus live in warm climates. They don’t understand how difficult it is to eat cold food when it’s so cold outside 😭

That was so well said!!!! Thank you so much.

I’ve been raw vegan for 5 years strict… and been through the extreme fasting… The past month I’ve been adding more root veggies/ fermentation/ more fat and my mental health/body feel amazing.
A part of my ego is still telling me that it’s wrong…It’s crazy that the guru’s get inside our heads.

Wow everything you said hit the spot so well. Even the fruit in the winter, I felt like crap sometimes… I look forward to experiencing cook food again when the time is right

It seems many develop disordered eating when they do anything in an extreme way (such as lengthy cleanses or guilt surrounding raw vs cooked).

Sounds balanced. I stick to raw foods only, because I expect LESS bodyfat to be stored on my body long term...

How great and refreshing to hear another have this mindset and perspective! Thank you for saying all of this for others to ponder on, you're awesome❤ Beautiful words, encouragement and truth. P.s I'm also just so happy for you! To know a fellow brother or sister have come to know themselves and continue to connect to themselves makes my heart smile! 💫💞🤗

Hi, for winter raw eating, nuts and dried fruits are a must in my opinion, especially almonds and raisins. Salads that include starchy vegetables like carrot or beetroot are also filling and satiating. I respect your sincere view on this topic, unfortunately many so called ''raw vegan youtubers'' are promoting a fad to health seekers and are more interested in growing their channels.

Thanks so much for making this video. I totally agree! If I lived in a place like Bali, I think a raw vegan diet would resonate with me but as I live in a northern temperate climate (like yourself), finding foods that are in resonance with that environment and climate are the foods that resonate best with my body (because my body too, is in that environment and climate). Trusting our own experience always far outweighs the 'insights' of some guru who doesn't even necessarily know us, the environment and climate we live in, nor the stresses and anxieties that we might be dealing with. Your message of developing our bodily awareness and intuition is very sage advice.

Also, in reference to raw....humans evolved a great capacity / ability to digest amylases than other primates. Could our use of fire have triggered that adaptation? Also, just because something is natural doesn't mean it is better or good (if we digested raw meat or raw legumes, we would get sick).

I entirely agree. I am a vegetarian myself from 14 years, and I have experienced quite a few things myself when it comes to food. The truth is, personal experience is the best experience of all. Nowadays, I see a lot of wannabe gurus online teaching on how to be a raw vegan, but I feel like it's more of a trend then a lifestyle originating from deep conviction. As appealing as it might seem, being a raw vegan doesn't really work for me. I tried, but I had several digestive problems, painful stomach aches and bloating. However, if I eat cooked vegetables for example, I have no issues at all. In spite of being a vegetarian, I have problems of eating raw food, I am sick from most of them, including peanuts. I can't even eat apples, they give me the same stomach aches. They don't work for me. Bananas do work in my case, grapes or peaches also. Diary products don't work for me, again I am sick from them, but eggs or honey products are not an issue. Sugar or any sugar related product, also don't work for me. To make it short, my point is some things work, some things might make you sick. After several years of experience, I came to the conclusion, that is best for each individual to try out which lifestyle suits him best. Within reason of course. It's the best and healthiest approach I think, and the only way to find out what type of food works for you. Anyways, I really like this video, few individuals take the effort to actually give sane advices with respect to others. Peace out!

Being true to yourself is the way. There is no way for everyone, everyone has to find his/her own way, as long as it's protecting mother nature.

Hi Fabio! Nice share, my friend. I can relate so much to what you're saying. I share my healing journey on YouTube and find myself changing my outlook on so many things. I don't like labels on lifestyles or "diets" I have learned to just listen to my body as everyone should. What works for me may not work for another, we all have different weaknesses. Take care :0) Lis

If we are not open to change, then we won't find whats best for us, I love that! So true! Our bodies are always changing too. I found that as I get older, my body cannot tolerate certain foods.

I live in a tropical country, where the winter is barely cold at all and has plenty of fruit and plants. So, for me, it is easier to be raw vegan. But yes, I can see that in countries that are colder it can be way harder. Your argument about the winter is on point. I believe that has also to do with the reason of why people in the "blue zones" live longer. These zones are closer to the tropical, where raw food is highly accessible.
