I read in a culinary magazine; walking at a brisk pace for 10 minutes after each meal almost eliminated the chance of developing diabetes. On a 2nd note, diabetes runs in my family because no one in my family runs.

What I love about your approach Elliot is that you aknowledge getting lean as a long term and life long process.
The typical paradigm in the fitness space is too focused on losing weight/fat in the short term and in seasonal bouts and then just regaining.
I have lost a bunch of weight, regained some and aiming to lose again and this time hope to stay lean.

I started watching your videos in 2013, i was 260lbs and the most unhappy ive ever been. I made extreme changes and within 2 years i was 6 pack lean. Now im 34 years old and still feel extremely connected to you. I have the same extremist mentality and have gone up and down in weight through the years. I still look good but im in the same spot as you right now, finding a sustainable way to lose weight and be healthy. Thanks for the years of support Elliot, youre the man!!

One thing I’ve noticed about weight loss is:

The faster the weight comes off, the faster it will come back (because it is not sustainable)

The slower it comes off, the slower it will come back, or might never come back because of how sustainable the slow weight by loss is. I’m aiming for about a lbs per week until I’m just comfortably sitting at a lower weight

I'm sure you are going to go over a lot of stuff, but I really love helping. I've noticed a lot of people have troubles with maintining weight.

Mom rules usually seem to be a good way to use food in moderation, so long as mom did things right lol.

Many men need your help right now and some have more weight to loose than others. Some things that they can do that I'm sure you will cover are:
1. Drink more water and cut down on processed sugar drinks. Use a small glass perhaps a child size when they do to control portion size.

2. Watch portion sizes and balance meals. If take out pizza is on the menu have 2 slices, water, a cut up pear, slices of cucumber. If shake and bake chicken and mashed potatoes is for dinner, start with a salad and have 1 or 2 cooked veggie sides.

3. Baking your own desserts and snacks are better because there is so much sugar and other not good for you things in processed store food.

4. Do what can be done for exercise everyday. It can be different activities but maintaining a healthy lifestyle is harder these days. Men who don't have the time to exersice often have time to watch tv or play games for 2 hours a night, 20 mins of that could be a workout or a walk.

Also men could make walking groups that go everyday, they could help each other. Start inviting people from FB and even make a closed group for schudles and help.

5. Getting in shape doesn't have to be hard, last time I did it by mowing lawns, swimming, floor exercises, small weights 3, 5, 7 lbs.

6. Did I cover workouts with injuries?

7. Foods that heal. Red bell peppers and bananas are kinda super foods that are good for many things, understanding food can help. Also portion sizes, so if a person does have pleasures, it's done in a smart way without having too much of it.

I'm sure you are gonna cover all this stuff, I also lost track, I was inspired by the comments.

Jo Elliot! I remember being 17 and old school Elliot had this video up with 1 simple message: if you want to lose weight, walk and hour a day and eat only veggies and meat and cut our the carbs.
Changed my life back then! Looks like you have gone full circle with this too

Elliot I remember seeing the video about 6-7 months ago on how you wanted to change either lifting heavy again or getting fit. The one where you are about to enjoy your wife’s food and you said how it was your diet for “now”. You’ve come along way brother. Just motivated me to go harder. I started 3 days ago but this can be day 1 again.
