The Ford EcoSport is the smallest crossover SUV that Ford offer. It's based on the Fiesta platform so it should be good - although it looks like a Fiesta that has had an allergic reaction and swollen up. Is it any good? Should you buy one?

Who will buy this car? I brought and I like it! For me it's perfect. Easy to drive in city, easy to park, I can choose to park where can open back door how much want, economic, small SUV, quiet high, easy come in/out when you are older person...right car for right person...not need be so negative.

Nice honest review, but I think more critical thinking is needed in regards to *who* would drive it. It won't just be young families, but perhaps older people who like this car for it's higher seating position...easier to climb in and out of, yet small enough to drive and manage compared to a massive 4x4. Not all cars are designed for families with prams!

Everyone is entitled to their opinions on virtually anything.. I own the 2020 version of this motor and I love it. Great to drive, plenty of room, good economy. Maybe some people just can’t drive...lol

The Ecosport is very NICE looking vehicle. Resembles a previous generation Ford Kuga / Escape (2013-2019) but shrunken down to 75% of the size.

We got a 2019 and we love it. We are retired and have been married 50 years so we have had the family vehicles in that time of raising our kids. We love this car and it isn't ugly.

Would I buy one? Definitely. Fords of recent years drive so well, my only concern is that apart from the Mondeo, which is just SUPERB in pretty much every way, the interiors are a bit of a mixed bag, both in terms of design and material quality.

I agree not suitable for a family, but as a single person living in an urban area I am really like my 2021 Ecosport. It's easy to park and can u-turn in under 18 feet. The seating is raised so easier to enter and exit. Agree the power is sluggish and definitely won't be spinning any donuts but I think it looks adorable, although not terribly "masculine" : D

Loosely related: i drove a 2018 ford transit custom as a rental to London and back. Along the A roads to get to the M62 from Brighouse it was a massive laugh. I absolutely love the steering. The steering is tight and responsive; something which is often praised in transits. I also do like the infotainment system, it's bright and modern.

The bloke test driving said he couldn’t find the catch to open the rear door. If he bothered to read the manual first he would have known. He couldn’t stop finding fault in the car.

Spare wheels mounted on the back of the vehicle have the following benefits. More space inside the vehicle. Do not need to unpack the boot to change a wheel. This is helpful if you are touring and have luggage, camping gear etc. The extra space inside the vehicle can have the following benefits: A larger fuel tank, underfloor storage spaces, a flat floor when the rear seats are folded down especially with only two rows of seats. The main disadvantage is perhaps the adverse effect on the cars handling caused by the high mounted spare wheel. Thanks for your videos they are interesting.

The EcoSport was a cheaply made, rush job. They realised that the small crossover sector was blowing up and they needed a rival for the Capture and Juke. But like I said it was a rush job, the fiesta on which it’s based is the best small car you can buy, mainly due to the drive. No idea how the managed to lose all the sporty edge the platform can have.

I'm sure if you ask Ford it's pronounced 'Echo' not Eco.
Is a bit pants because it's a budget 'world' car, sold in many different countries... Nissan did the same with the k13 series Micra and that wasn't brilliant either!

The 1.0 ecoboost is known to overheat the coolant and then breaks down anything plastic. It is in contact with i.e expansion bottle, heater matrix (as had plastic clip with an o ring in it), degas hose and then when low on coolant the engine goes causing it to be scrapped... I know from previous experience as my old focus needed 3 dagas hoses, an expansion bottle, a heater matrix replaced and then when the engine went it was time to get rid before the warranty ran out... Never will I touch another ford again

Looks like ecosport was made from leftover parts that was left from other ford models...
