You missing the point of this Torpedo, It's nuclear powered and has almost unlimited range, it can go slowly undetected under World Oceans...

We all saw our assessment of Russian capabilities…..remember “catastrophic, humiliating and strategic defeat of Russia?” Now it’s “please give us $60bn or it’s the end of NATO.”

Not a first-class nuclear power. THE first-class nuclear power.

Ukrainian Chief of the general staff, Syrsky, said "Constantly underestimate Russia lead to an assured defeat". Remember what media used to say one year and half ago : Russia has exhausted all its missiles ; Russia pretends to have functional hypersonic Kinzhal and Zircon ; Russia has a poor army, with no equipment, no good training, and most of the soldiers are drugged and drunk soldiers. Etc.

To those who does not understand:
Poseidon is not a nuclear submarine.
Poseidon is a nuclear powered, nuclear missile/torpedo, that can loiter underwater for weeks, and denotates underwater.

She is so clever until it is too late. I hope she is not an acting advisor to a person who can't find his way of the stage. Otherwise, we are all doomed.

Russia conducts military conflicts only on its border, aimed at protecting Russia's security. Russia has never attacked remote countries. Russia has never used nuclear weapons. At the same time, the United States is fighting a huge number of military conflicts far from its borders due to its strength and resources. The United States has killed hundreds of thousands of civilians in remote corners of the world. It was the United States that used nuclear weapons twice, but not for military purposes, but intentionally against the civilian population. It is unlikely that Russia will strike first. It doesn't make any sense. but the US aggression is quite obvious

Sounds like another good reason to NOT be enemies with Russia.

Underestimate Russia at your own peril. Also I hope that lady is not a military advisor to anybody.

Burevestnik missile is the above ground version of Poseidon. A nuclear powered nuclear armed cruise missile can can fly for months in the wild blue yonder and wait for orders from the head office. Nasty.

I think Poseidon is a real weapon and it is almost certainly functional. A nuclear-powered torpedo with a conventional warhead or a nuclear one is feasible.
Moreover, this is a defensive weapon. Russia's nuclear doctrine only allows the usage of nuclear weapons if the U.S. strikes first or if the existence of the Russian state is at stake.
The United States' nuclear doctrine does, however, include the right to strike first...
So, which country is the most dangerous ? Certainly not Russia as their nuclear weapons are strictly defensive weapons and can only be used in response.

The Russian NUCLEAR TORPEDO POSEIDON can carry a HYDROGEN BOMB if The Armed Forces of Russia wish it so. So just because it MAY not be a 100 megaton warhead, it sure can pack a punch, anytime, anywhere.

The tsunami effect . . . If they detonate one of those in the right place the resulting nuclear tsunami would be larger then what you'd expect.

It's worse than the "tsunami effect." Take a look at the Bikini Atoll "Test Baker" July 25, 1946 involving the German cruiser Prince Eugen moored 1100m from the nuclear blast. Small compared to the newer Poseidon torpedo blast. Check the huge battleship dwarfed by the large underwater blast wave, presumably around 200m tall. Pics available anywhere on the internet.
