You're correct Ben, my FE1 Si makes me giggle and daze people on the road with how cool it looks and fast it pulls from stop lights with the 6-speed manual while others autos are still trying to pick up and go.

For $35K, neither does the WRX or GR Core Corolla come close to this complete package.

Considered the BRZ, GR86 as well but I couldn't reconcile how they'd be easy to lug out my family and friends without being selective of who gets to seat in the comfy front passenger seat next to me, and who'd have to cramp their legs in the rear but the Si immediately solved that problem for me without having to think about it.

The downshift auto revmatch & shift lights when you want to be a lunatic are my fave features.

I've had a Honda Sedan with the manual transmission since 2017-2018, and I have to say that the 2022 SE is so badass, it's too nice for me. Glad they're still making manual transmissions.

Yeah it’s a great car and all. Until you get to the dealership and they apply an insane market adjustment on it. So unfortunate.

It’s not a full digital gauge cluster. Only 3/4 The speedometer is analog and the tach and center screen is digital. Canada gets a full digital cluster on the SI (among other features)

Live in Miami so dont care for the seat warmers. Just put some aftermarket fog lights in bright yellow and some coilovers when available.

The problem you described around 8:20 is called rev hang. It's an issue with small displacement motors, especially turbocharged ones. This being a 1.5 with a pretty strong turbo stands to reason that it would hang. I own one of these and have taken to kind of using the rev hang to simply push forward a bit as I shift between gears, because there's no way I'm waiting more than 1 second between gears. If you're driving gently around town trying to take it easy, you should absolutely take your time between shifts, but for all out sport driving, let her rip.
