I’ve heard people use unreal for vfx and I like the blueprint style cuz I’ve work with other programs that use nodes.

I started with Unity 5 years ago and now I'm going into Unreal Engine 5. I always wanted to get into Unreal, but C++ always scared me away and I hated Blueprint. I went through my first semester of College and we were learning C++ and I got more comfortable with it and now I kind of like it. I thought I would never understand Unreal, but I purchased a course on Undemy, as YouTube didn't have any good free content, and it is excellent. I like the way Unreal organizes game objects and it makes more sense and it's better than Unity. So, I recommend you start with Unity and learn C# and then if you’d like, learn UE and C++.

Don't know if it's a quirk of Unreal but most ue4 games I've downloaded as .zip files have been compressed really inefficiently. Like a 12, 5 GB file extracting to 13 GB

Godot forever! I tried it after having dabbled in unity on and off for over a year. And within the first few hours it made more sense to me than unity ever did

unreal engine just fucking is heavy, and i mean it's alright but when developers there just make shit unoptimized games and expect anyone to have a 500$ graphics card to play it.. no thanks.
