Keep in mind that if you don't get the rat put to sleep or get the tumor removed it can/will keep growing until it literally splits the animal practically in half. Better off to get the rat put down early on rather than wait if you know it is a tumor and can't afford to have it removed. Have seen rats get put to sleep that literally had tumors that weighed more than the entire rodent.

One of my girls unfortunately passed away yesterday. She was around 2 years old, which is the same as my other 4 girls. One of my 4 remaining mice has a tumour and struggled to move around at first but after a day she was moving around fine and is eating/drinking just fine. The other 3 mice are completely healthy but are just slow with their old age.

One of my rats recently started showing symptoms of a respiratory infection and a skin problem, the soonest appointment is the 22nd, but hopefully I can get him in sooner. Him and his brother are the first rats I’ve ever owned so I really hope things won’t take a turn for the worst.

This is so true 😖 I've had my rats for 6 months and they have already gotten respiratory infections and Moe has gotten a skin infection and has bald patches😭 We took him to the vet and he has another appt. tomorrow! I got them from a reputable breeder too :/ They're amazing little creatures though ☺️ Much love Emi! Happy Easter and Rat day!!! ❤️

Thank you, this really helped. I got a mouse a couple months ago (his name is Jerry), and today I had to bring him to the ER because he was making squeaky-like noises when breathing. I also noticed the lack of food and water intake. The doctor diagnosed him with an upper respiratory infection and I was given Enrofloxacin and Doxycycline. I started to get more nervous due to his lack of eating and the tiredness/little movement he would make. This video was definitely informative and I appreciate it. ❤️

I lost my rattie at the start of Quarantine because the vet wouldn't accept rats for emergencies. I've found a better vet now and they are currently treating my boy for a upi. They actually care about animals

a good treatment ive found for my rats is mixing fish mox (amoxicillin)— if you look up ‘fish mox for rats’ there’s a few vids w dosages- usually one capsule is mAny doses for the ratties, but it’s worked well for my boys!!

I've been managing an ongoing abscess with my 18 month old bald boy, and even though I know they're so prone I still feel so guilty that I can't just clear it up overnight. One of my rats, Bimme has a respiratory infection, so me and my dad are calling the vet on tuesday because they are closed right now. We actually did take him to the vet a while ago and treated him with antibiotics and eye drops. But we ran out. The antibiotics helped, but not the eye drops, so he still has that red mark around his eye. So I would like to ask if he need eye drops? I know your not a vet but I really don’t know if he need eye drops. Btw love your videos! ❤️🥰

I have 9 mice and a Syrian hamster named Nugget. My Male mice names are Tennessee, Kibble, smudge, and dasher. The females which I have 3 babys and 2 bigger females. I have pebble, and ruby, amististe, pearl ( yes I have a pearl too ❤) and onix. I have my hands full but I absolutely love them. I love how everyone is a individual, I love watching there personalities come out. You have helped me so much because your right you cant find enough information on mice! You have taught me so much!
