Long ago it could be a secret but i'm sure with all the technology today any lab could run a sample of the contrate to find the ingredients and parts per bottle.

A 1943 copy probably still had cocaine in it.

In 2013, how hard can it be for scientists to decrypt Coke's "secret formula" in a lab somewhere? I'm sure it's possible. They've be able to break every single molecule down and expose the formula. I'm sure there would be legal repercussions, though.

what's the secret recipe for water

The recipe has changed many times and is different based on where in the world the product is sold.
Coca-Cola simply has to say it's not the correct recipe and how would anyone know.
On the other hand, let's say it is real. Who cares. What's the worst that could happen. Coca-Cola already has the market. If you tried to sell that recipe under a different name they could sue you if the recipe is the same or close enough to be a trademark or patent infringement.
At the end of the day it really isn't worth much. I don't even think the real one in the vault is worth much. Like I said, what could someone do with it, nothing.

pepsi tastes flatter and sweeter while coke tastes more sparkly. I could easily tell. I think coke tastes much better.

Ehh. I dont think theres a special secret recipe. Thats just what makes it special. When i went to the Coca Cola factory in Atlanta, they talked about how "you make CocaCola special" which was a play on words of "we are the secret ingredient because Coke is shared and enjoyed by everyone."

The copy in Atlanta has High Fructose Corn Syrup in its ingredientes. The “1943 Copy” uses really sugar as part of its ingredients. Hence the difference in taste between, Coca Cola Classic and Mexican Coke.

Well now the handwritten recipes for Coca-Cola from 1886 are out there. Too bad the ingredients are expensive, and one ingredient is illegal.

I bet if they really wanted to a scientist could figure this out

If I had 5 million dollars I would buy it put it on a copier and sell all of the copy’s for 25 dollars

They should make it following the recipe and compare it. If it tastes the same, it’s probably close enough

Call me crazy, but I for one can absolutely and accurately distinguish the difference in taste between Coke and Pepsi. Apparently, everybody doesn't possess the same number of taste buds. Jesus fucking Christ, how dare you even mention McDonalds! IN-N-OUT all day, every day (that's if you're lucky to be living on the West coast) ;)

Doesn't sound worth the effort when it's easier to just go out and buy a litre. And the original Coca Cola had trace elements of cocaine...which Refreshes You!

The recipe is dirt. You can even taste the dirt in it.

I don't get it, the ingredients are on the bottle, no? It's only a matter of how much of each ingredient in the mix.

Nobody cares, the recipe is truly irrelevant. Its the brand not the beverage .... this could very easily be deciphered by a laboratory. But then all they would have is a cola recipe . And if you haven't figured it out then let me fill you in, coca cola is just a beverage if filled into any other container . What makes coke special is obviously not the recipe as any bum could figure it out in a lab, but you still only have a drink .... you don't have coca cola as only coca cola holds that power
