Brandon, I’ve been a weekend Uber/Lyft driver for almost 5!years. I have mastered the art/skill to be able to quickly read someone and instantly know how to adapt to they personality type. Because of this trial by fire, I have zero fear of picking up the phone and talking to strangers. I have countless real estate conversations on my Uber/Lyft trips every weekend. Almost every one I transport gets my card, especially if I pick them up or drop them off at a nice home. If you’re afraid of cold calling, be an Uber driver for a while. That fear will rapidly disappear. That’s just what has helped me. You will know you’ve conquered your fear of the phone when you can call a nationally broadcasted sports radio show and debate the host for like 15 minutes forgetting that millions of Sirius XM users can hear every word you’re saying. You live by sword. You die by the sword. Just start dialing for God sakes. That phone sits between you and whatever income you desire to make. Don’t let the damn phone win!

Excellent video! I am generally a very confident person and finding the one thing that makes me uncomfortable (cold calling) has been difficult for me. My fear surrounding cold calling really comes down to the fear of the unknown. What’s going to come up in this conversation that I may not have the answer to? I personally don’t have a fear of rejection, but the unknown has been my down fall. This video was right on time! Thank you!!

I had anxiety of driving to unfamiliar places. But I overcame it in the past 2 years. Finally I can drive anywhere and don't have any anxiety. Now I am working on my phone anxiety. I feel I am not prepared yet or not good enough to help them the best being a new agent. I need to overcome that imposter syndrome so I can pick the phone and start calling. Anxiety = no business.
