I have been supplementing with Selenium for a few years now. Due to the studies related to cancer. My Dad had polyps removed from his colon at the age of 45, I’m 54 and just had my first colonoscopy after an hour of the surgeon searching my colon and not finding anything he told me that he didn’t want to see me for at least ten years. I don’t know if adding Selenium to my diet was the cause but the people who I love that have been medically diagnosed with cancer and listen to me are still here today.

Wait not so fast, I did forget you can get your daily intake of Selenium with just one Brazil Nut, not even counting all the other essential goodies it has. However the supplement has 3x RDA, so you really don't need to take it daily, lasting way beyond 3 months. if you took selenium supplement every other day, it would cost ¼ a cent a day (0.0025 dollars). 200/8. A Brazil Nut is usually a staggering 12 dollars a lb. Most decently sized Brazil Nuts are 10-15g so at most you'll get 40 nuts for 12 dollars, so let's just say a months supply would be 8 dollars. 40/8, 20 cents per day!! So buying Brazil Nuts is approximately 12x more expensive than the supplement counter-part. There, I fought my laziness by explaining how laziness in this situation is better, get the supplement.

Whenever I see some absurdly expensive food item like Brazil Nuts as the #1 source of a vital nutrient, I supplement 100%!
200mcg (364%) DV 8 dollar supplement x 100 doses >>> Brazil Nuts. I'd do the math on how much the money savings would be but I'm lazy rn.
