Hey kids! it's you good buddy Uncle Ben, and on today's action packed episode of Weekend Wankshop, i want to show you a super easy minor pentatonic scale shape that i came across this week. Use this pattern and start ripping hot licks at maximum speed today!
In this lesson, i'm going to show you a unique "2+3" scale shape that will let you hop across the board in octaves. I'll show you how you can economy pick through it, or the alternate picked lick i made up to get your creative muscles flexing. It's easy, you'll be shredding in no time!

Great idea. I find great ideas come from playing the pentatonic scales in unusual ways. Another idea is to play through the two note per string box in the wrong direction. Ascend through the string s but descend on each string. 8-5(E) 7-5(a) 7-5(d) 7-5(g) 8-5(b) 8-5(e). Or do the opposite: 5-8(e) 5-8(b) 5-7(g) 5-7(d) 5-7(a) 5-8(E). Or go up the low side of the box and down the high side of the box instead of going back and forth. Basically 1 note per string. These all sound much different than typical pentatonic runs.

Does this shreddable lick only work on the Am Pentecostal Scale or can it be applied to other Minor Scales the Episcopalian, Presbyterian, Mennonite Scales? I've always liked the Nondenominational Scale as it's not so restrictive and gives you the freedom to explore new ideas unlike the more Dominant Scales of Catholic and Baptism.
