How do you regain arm movement after a stroke?

Spasticity in the arm causes muscles in the arm to work together (in a not good way :)). The hand and wrist will often flex when attempting to move the shoulder and elbow. Ugh. This video demonstrates an exercise to start isolating arm movements and STOP these spastic patterns.

I do these table top ball arm/hand exercises! But when I extend my affected arm I feel resistance at the elbow!
