► Preorder my book: The Conscious Kitchen

In today's video I am sharing with you what I eat in a month, where I try new recipes, explore flavours and get prepped for the week ahead.

For me sustainable living is always about cooking from scratch where possible, valuing what you own, introducing minimalist ideals by keeping our space free of unwanted items and lowering our waste wherever possible. Zero waste living is something I strive for. Meal prepping for autumn, learning new skills and minimising wherever I can. I hope you enjoy this calm cooking video!

I always find that drinking through a straw makes me drink more water. Like having a larger water bottle that has a straw attachment and I take it EVERYWHERE. You can also had lemon/other fruit to your water to make it taste more appealing. I guess it rlly depends on what it is that prevents you from drinking more water, ya know?

Thanks for being brave and showing what it feels like to be proud of your accomplishments. I needed that motivation today. I'm sorry you got sick!

Mountain rose herbs just did a great recipe on their blog for iced tea cubes that you can add to your water. They are pretty good.

For drinking water, I have one water bottle that I use everyday and take with me wherever I go, even around the house. I like the straw attachment for water bottles because you can keep your eyes focused on what you’re doing and still drink water. In the summer I like to make iced tea (no sugar) and add frozen berries for extra flavor, sweetness, and cold

In regards to drinking more water, one of the habits I’ve kept up for a few months now is what I call “morning hydration outside time”. When I first wake up, I fill up a cup (mug for me) with water and go outside… and stay outside until I finish it. I do this first thing in the morning. It gets me outside and my digestive system appreciates starting off with a cup of water. Sometimes I refill it and have more outside time, but sometimes I do just one. This feels like the habit stack stuff you like Immy 😊. Hope this helps!

I loved this video so much. And the food looks really yumm 😋 I've been getting into salads recently and would love it if you could share the recipes for your dressings? I've been trying to experiment as well for some variety

I live in Idaho (dry, hot, and at altitude), and recently brought my sourdough starter on a trip to Minnesota (humid, slightly cooler, and basically at sea level). I was also having trouble getting my bread to turn out like it normally does at home. I relate so much to your similar sourdough experience!

For each meal have a cup of water that you like the size of and try to drink it before you get up after eating. That has really helped my morning water intake doing that at breakfast. I do not always enjoy but I do it!

I use marbles. 1 marble for 1 glass of water and I strive for minimum 10 glasses of water a day. So I use two little cups, starting in the morning with one without any marble and the other one with 10 marbles & everytime I drink a glass of water, I transfer a marble. For me that helps to get enough water in 😊

Bagels are helpful for making filling yet quick breakfast sandwiches!!!! And they come in so many flavors: plain, sweet, savory, spicy

for the water thing I add some Gatorade powder to it and LOTS of ice. Its simple but it works for me <3

Maybe it‘s not the healthiest tip when it comes to drinking more, but what I like to do, is cooking a tasty sirup out of local fruit & put a tiny bit of the sirup in my water. Then I get slowly back into the habbit of drinking more and mostly don‘t miss the sirup anymore.

For dehydration, try keeping your water bottle with you and take drinks/sips throughout the day. Coconut water helps you get hydrated and is a great alternative to Gatorade. You can also consume more water based fruits like Cantaloupe or Watermelon.

Northern Michigan is beautiful. I'm from near there. I'm sorry you were so sick, but glad you feel better.

Hydration: I keep a big jug of peppermint tea in the refrigerator -- I also like plain water but the cold tea is a treat (and non-caffeinated). The Goldfinch is a very fun read.

If you haven't read The Unmaking of June Farrow, I highly recommend it. It's not a difficult read, but it's a wonderful read.

Add electroylites to your water. It was a game changer for me (I get fewer migraines now)

Donna Tartt is a sublime writer. You must must must read her very first novel, The Secret History. It has a bit of a cult following. I've read it three times over the years. She's an unusual author, writing one novel a decade! I adored her next book too, The Little Friend. Out of her three books, The Goldfinch comes bottom for me! And loving everything you're doing!👌

Add lemon, or cucumber with mint to your water. I make a pitcher and leave on the counter to remind me to drink it
