If pine nuts are too pricey, try Cashews or Macadamia nuts (similar in flavour), or if that's still out of your budget, maybe try sunflower seeds 👍🏼

I've been making an Italian version of this for years. Everyone loves it. And the cannellini beans are creamier than chickpeas.

If I don't have chickpeas at home, I often make "hummus" but with beans, and It's great! 😃 Bean dips are underestimated in my opinion

Pine nuts are so expensive though and hard to find. Hemp seeds or sliced almonds would be a good substitute for pine nuts if you cannot find them or can’t afford them.
