I don’t know how anybody else would feel about it, but the way that my dad has been making it in the way I make it is instead of parsley. We add cilantro into it. Something about the cilantro, with the hummus is absolutely amazing..

I started making home made hummus a few months back and it's amazing how much tastier it is compared to the supermarket hummus for how easy it is to make. Plus home made has more nutrients in it.

Tip: if interested in achieving that creamy consistency, adding one tablespoon of iced water to the food processor, towards the end.

Awesome! Thank you for featuring an oil-free recipe. (My family and I try to minimize processed oils for our specific health issues). This looks sooo yummy. Great tip on adding the aquafaba to it to make it fluffier!

Thank you for sharing this recipe with us. I’m going to make it over the holiday for my family. 😊

About the “Aqua Fava “… I’m new to the vegan world, so learning the vegan ways is a learning process for me. However, I grew up with in a traditional Mexican Family, where fresh cooked pinto beans 🫘 are a staple in our diet. We were taught to always “drink”/eat the “bean water”, bc that’s where most of the nutrients were. It was never wasted. It’s often fed to young kids as one of their 1st introductions to solid foods, when tortillas are soaked in Freshly cooked Bean water to make a porridge 🥣 like dish.
I definitely raised my babies on it, so they could be “strong “. 😊

Thank you for letting me share that story about my experience with “Aqua Fava”

Try adding ICE cold water in it instead of aquafaba, it transformed my hummus game. Great recipe!! :) you don't need oil in it :)

How is this “oil free” when it’s got tahini in it?

Aren't we supposed to avoid bean juice? I usually soak and rinse beans to flush out as much phytates as possible.

I’m too covetous of my aquafaba to put it back into my hummus but I use ice water instead of oil. This sounds like a lovely recipe.

For super creamy hummus, peel the chickpeas. This recipe is good but even better imo with the chickpea skin gone.

You can make whip cream out of that water
