The VB was hiding in the Realtec Bluetooth driver...I uninstalled it and followed the rest of the instruction...then just allowed the driver to reinstall when it rebooted to WIN11.

Turns out the problem program was LDPlayer for both of us. Makes sense. So with hindsight, the quicker solution for both of us and for others having this problem is to add remove LDPlayer. I love how your solution would find and resolve any update problems though.
