How to Delete Pending Windows Update Corrupted Update.

There may be times when your Windows Update may give you problems on your Windows 10/8/7 computer. You may even see Pending Windows Updates which refuse to install for some reason in spite of several attempts. In such cases you should consider deleting the failed and pending Windows Updates which are downloaded incompletely to your computer and then try to restart installation once again as soon as you restart your computer.

You need to delete all the contents of the Software Distribution folder. The Software Distribution folder in the Windows operating system is a folder located in the Windows directory and used to temporarily store files which may be required to install Windows Update on your computer. It is thus required by Windows Update and maintained by WUAgent. It also contains your Windows Update History files, and if you delete them, chances are you will lose your Update history. Also, the next time you run Windows Update, it will result in longer detection time.

This tutorial will apply for computers, laptops, desktops,and tablets running the Windows 10, Windows 8/8.1, Windows 7 operating systems.Works for all major computer manufactures (Dell, HP, Acer, Asus, Toshiba, Lenovo, Samsung).

THIS helped so much i was panicking because i was trying to get the windows 11 update by becoming a insider prgram because i didnt have the necessary requirements and then the update wasnt working so i quit the inside program and stopped the builds thing and then it still kept trying to download the windows 11 update! but it kept failing so this actually removed it thanks so much

I need to sleep yesterday cuz its 10pm already and the windows download update to 1903 is 100% downloaded but when it says install update it is 12% and i really need to sleep so i stop the windows update in services will my laptop safe?this process gonna work?

But they come back. I recently installed Microsoft Office and that caused me to get 20+ updates for it. So i uninstalled Microsoft office but the updates are still there. And causes me to have 100% disk usage all time and thaf makes me unable to work .

I've seen dozens of posts with this same procedure. This is the first one that said to reboot at the end, so I was hopeful. But they came right back again. Maybe this used to work, but not for me. I'm on Windows 10 21H2.

I have 3 recent updates on my computer going back to August, that's around that time my updates all started failing. Should I delete them?
