Using notepad to move files I need from a computer that won't boot into windows is definitely something that might be useful to me sometime.

Using NOTEPAD to open the FILE EXPLORER in freaking CMD MODE is the most _genius_ thing I've ever heard in a long while

After working in IT for 18 years, updating thousands of computers and servers every month...I certainly can say avoid shutdown your computer when it's updating. In my experience there is a 5% of chance of something breaking up and taking several hours to fix (if you know how to fix of course). Only shutdown the pc if the updates is running for more than a hour and there is no sign of progress.

"Even the most disastrous updates shouldn't touch your personal data on the drive."

Well you know, aside from that one time.

We love when you’re updating drivers and the power cable to your hard drive magically decides to pop out for no reason.
I kid you not, I started the update, found myself a screen of death, opened my PC, and the cable was just chilling there next to the hard drive. Wasn’t a power outage, nothing even bumped the PC. The cable just apparently really didn’t like its job.

The script: Here you’re supposed to say “Apparently this script was not written assuming I would host it”

When I was job hunting (IT support), sometimes I would be asked "what have you been doing to keep up tech wise?" and my response has been to praise the density of information found in LTT (and affiliated) videos. Some recruiters did not find this to be an acceptable answer. Joke's on them, this was basically a condensed CompTIA A+ module in a 4 minute video, AND I found a job where the technical recruiter recognized how much you can learn from LTT AND I get paid more than the jobs where the recruiters were snobs :P
