I've always wanted to articulate that very idea to my own father when he were to speak to me about friendships and my lack of a meaningful connected one. Man it is impossible to do so. We live in such a different world now as my dad was a teen back in the 70s.

It also focres you to isolate yourselves from people whi dont think like you, so you don't get the opportunity to learn the social skill of avooding conflict or working with others that youd rather dig your eyeballs out with a spoon than deal with.
We had internet, but it wasn't a huge thing when i was a teen/early 20s. We had to deal with a lot of people we hated. Petty bosses, annoying, gosspiy coworkers, or coworkers who were on drugs and your main job was not to let them kill themselves on the job bc they swore they weren't high. It doesn't seem like a skill worth cultivating at first, but as you live your life, dealing with people you don't want to deal with and managing to be very productive and successful together is an incredibly valuable skill, especially if you are in any kind of leadership positions

very true, i currently have only 2 people i would consider as friends. im selective because i dont want to let my self get influenced negatively by some other people my age. at the same time, i wish to experience the average life of a late teen but i rather watch educational content e.g. trading, self improvement, girl advices, masculinity content. i know this might sound toxic af, especially the last part mentioned, but i started understanding girl behaviour much better and it will help me to read signals easier and make less mistakes instead of learning by making lots mistakes.
i dont go out that much because my urge to make friends gets triggered when i see friend groups walking through the city. this is rather a sign to actually go out and make some, but my beliefs tell me to focus more on grinding solitary.
i have contact with a girl and we shared a lot about private topics but im not sure if she distracts me because i started phantasizing and relapsed. dont want to blame her, shes nice, its my lack of will power which i have to work on but she also enjoys the same bad habits, i had previously and i dont want to fall back. i didnt make any friends with people of my old class. why? because so many watched netflix, played video games, acting like clowns (i understand humour but some shit just wasnt funny imo) rather than respecting the teacher. we also had not so much in common and they have different beliefs, values, not saying they are wrong. there was a guy who was very competent and had good discipline but he was just awkward to talk to because we would always talk about the same topics and he would beg for validation all the time. i didnt confront him for that, maybe he didnt get much attention by his parents because of his older brother or so, also beause his family seems to be rich which means his parents work a lot. he sometimes seemed so nice and gave compliments but the compliments didnt feel real because it felt like he was making them because he wanted to manipulate me to help him achieve something. thats why and if you read all dat stuff, nice man, have a nice day! continue your grind!

its because its easier to get away with misbheavior online. most systems are designed to have people expect entertainemnt with little effort by habit and that keeps people lazy, then they use algorithm and paid humans to destory certain ideas and make popular other ideas unatural in human history, suhc as the selfishness, laziness, and anti moral unity. long term collborative realtionships arnt commonly sucessful like they used to be.

my 7 year old sister has recently seemed a little down and i asked her what’s up. she told me “i’m not that pretty and i’m not very smart so i don’t think anyone will want to marry me” i couldn’t hold in the tears, i started bawling my eyes out and i think that’s because she was genuine.
she stared me in the eye and started crying while she said it. im 16 and i’m naturally protective of her. it hurt hearing that from someone i care about so much, especially a child who deserves nothing but love. thanks for this, i’ve kinda been eating myself up inside because i didn’t know how to help her
