The biggest problem with the internet is that with so many resources available, we end up "knowing" a lot, but actually understanding very little of it.

Tbh, showing your own views in modern society is harder and harder because of how people react.

STEP 1: Turn human life into a contest for clicks, "likes", and "going viral"
That's it. The end.

As a zillenial (99), I will never give my children an iPad, or any kind of internet access until they are much older. Kids don’t need to be exposed to so much so fast. Nor do they need to feel like they have to have technology to have fun.

I know so many people will say “wait until you have kids and they won’t stop crying!”, but I was raised without an iPad or iPhone (didn’t get my first smart phone until I was 16) and my parents still managed. Centuries of parents managed to keep their kids quiet without technology.

The worst thing is if you want to share your opinion you need to be polarized, because if you stand in the middle you gonna get destroyed hy both sides

The best thing about social media, it gave voice to common people.

This is genuinely the video I've been looking for, its scary how no one will admit there is more tiktok brain and internet addiction than there are drug addicts

Most people can't even speak their minds now, because they fear a negative response. It really is just sad.

The irony of this video is that it does what it is condemning.

A good way to tell you’re not an NPC is that you get hate for just stating a simple opinion. Going against the crowd is hard, but rewarding.

This is not a accident. It was done on purpose.

A huge part of the issue is just that people are being raised on the Internet and constantly being subjected to content yet they are not equipped with any media literacy skills to actually THINK about what they’re watching

Idiocracy is becoming less of a movie and more of a glimpse into the future.

Everyone responds in either memes or pop culture references. There are no original thoughts. They are just recycling these pre-programmed responses. It’s literally NPC behavior.

The internet has given a voice to people that nobody would otherwise listen to in real life. But Im still convinced the core of the issue sits with out Education system and Universities that have been completely taken over by big-business, activists, ideologues and political interest groups.

I've always been one to try to improve my critical thinking and such. When I find myself consuming too much trash or low quality stuff, I attempt to switch over to things that are more beneficial. I don't drop technology altogether, but I try to find content that is beneficial to me in more ways than just having a thing in my face.

Willingly predisposing children to any addiction is a serious form of child abuse, no matter which ever way you want to spin it. Also, if you think you're getting away easier by giving a toddler an iPad, you're only making the rest of your life considerably worse in the long run (as a form of poetic justice).
