Hi. I can't coordinate the breathe in and breathe out while pulling.. can I pull in during breathe in instead of breathing out? Does it matter? Thank you

HI JESSICA I am 77 yr old woman who suddenly had incontinence after a lot of coughing ...i had bronchitis. I have now been doing these exercises for about a year now and they have not helped. How long is it supposed to take to actually start working? Thankyou for your reply.😊
