Abe: you can start off with the 3/2/1 backup strategy, but *there are levels to this.*

Thank you for sharing your strategy, Abe. I know for working professionals, losing data can be ruinous, so having a solid backup strategy is very important.

Abe. Yes I'll agree it seems like an affordable solution. That being said given fact that I would hate to lose my images in any unforeseen circumstance I opted to spend the extra bucks for a complete and more robust backup NAS system.

Please be aware that this is the slower 3.2 gen 2. Not the 3.2 2x2. For Macs, you really need USB4.

Do you have a way to back up your files directly from the camera to an external hard drive? I don't want to take travel with a laptop. I looked at all kinds of stuff online but couldn't really find anything solid. I can't believes that Nikon can't come up with a software update where you connect a HD directly the the camera's usb port. Thank you in advance for your time. I tried to contact Nikon with this idea but I guess they don't find it interesting enough

8TB is a humongous capacity, I have the 4TB, and it looks practically empty with my entire photography life since 1979.😮
