Hi, Thanks for a great video.
I have a question regarding the swapping of the drive. Surprisingly there isn't many that answers this.
So in a RAID-1 config with 2x4TB drives, let's say I run out of space (4TB) or something happens to one of the drives, Is it possible to replace it with more capacity drive (may be 8TB of each)?
If yes, how does it syncs the data which is already there in one of the good 4TB drive to the new 8TB drive?

Appriciate your help. My purchase decision is stuck on this question.

Can you swap these out with newer drives then go back to the other drives to see the data on old drives? Sp I dont have to buy new enclosed n drives?

Thanks. great info. Is it possible to do editing on G Raid? What's your opinion?

Hi Samy, a quick question. I'm using the same exact model, and trying to replace one of the disk since it's full. Once I replace one of the disk, do I manually format the mirroring disk?

Guys is it possible to connect two macbook lap tops at the same time with one G-RAID 2 and be able to edit footage from one lap top and copy files from other lap top at the same time through Thunderbolt 3 type C plugs, cause I see that it has 2-3 of these plugs?

This is not NAS capable correct? I need to get footage from me to my editors and I need expandable systems like this.

So you can only use 4tb of an 8tb system? I never would have thought that!

Good good. Look into unraid and you'll thank me later :)

G-Raid is not the "ultimate backup solution". I used the G-Raid with a Raid 1 setup. The two drives were good and were mirror image of each other. However, the enclosure failed and I could not access any data stored in those good hard drives as G-Raid use a proprietary way to store data. Ended up I had to find third party solution to recover data. Both the G-Raid Raid 0 and Raid 1 setup rely on a functional enclosure and if that is not the case, you are out of luck. So don't ever believe "G-Raid 2 is the ultimate backup solution". You will regret.
