Anyone viewing this, use IPA to dissolve the adhesive, don't use an Olfa knife, if you don't have any IPA, then use WD40/CRC it will also dissolve the adhesive, last resort, use some nail polish remover...

I stopped using my Sandisk extreme drives because they were OVERHEATING! too much...has this been fixed or not?

I did this with the older SanDisk extreme portable and no other ssd’s in there didn’t work.

I think Sandisk should have placed a system inside the device that fires when it is opened. It's a shame that they only use an adhesive system.

Please never ever manipulate a strong elastic plastics case with a prolonged breakable cutter knife, until you would not like amputating some finders by yourself.😅

I have a friend who has this drive and says it’s “dead”. I recommended he take out the old M.2 and put it in a new enclosure. Do you have an enclosure recommendation? I found a few on Amazon for around $18 that as far as I know will work (assuming his drive is still alive of course).

0:35 mine actually had that glue missing so it got loose and fell out inside. i bought it as "for parts" from ebay but just reinserting it with some glue fixed it. currently using it in my pc :)
