WHAT?! I've thought my lower shoulder was the issue for YEARS. looking forward to testing this (my high shoulder is def weak so very plausible)

What I don't understand is that we are talking about the dropped shoulder, but the exercise is focused on the higher shoulder. My right shoulder is dropped means it is weak. So, I must do exercises that strengthen that shoulder, not the other shoulder that compared to my dropped shoulder looks higher.

Can you do this if both shoulders are high or is there a better exercise for that? Would you do both at the same time or alternate?

Why would you need to strengthen the muscles depressing the shoulder when gravity would be constantly doing that without any activation of musculature?

It would be a passive movement and thus redundant to strengthen scapular depression muscles
